they send you an account, watertester. i don't remember how they did it but i think it was through email (?) they don't email decisions. you just get on the hotchkiss site and log in.

Last year, the following were among the schools that had on-line notifications: Northfield Mount Hermon, St. Paul's, Choate, and Hotchkiss. Andover did not, except for international students. The big FedEx box that Andover sent was a great way to find out about the acceptance, even though we had to wait for it until March 11th last year. But, thanks to this site, I knew that no one else had heard from Andover on the 10th.

No balloon from Andover....that may have been Emma Willard.....not sure, though, as it was not one of the schools to which we applied, just my recollection from some other posters.

I'd assume there would be a course handbook, a return envelope, course registration forms, your letter, of course, and maybe a pen with the name of the school on it - stuff like that. And, if you're an FA applicant, your financial aid decision may also be included (I know Andover puts this in the same package, don't know about other schools).

I already have a course book and so do a lot of people. I always thought htey'd send course registration stuff over the summer sometime. Anyone know specifics? Like pen..mug..poster. etc. etc.
