I have an 800 on US History which I will send, but would it be better to send a 790 math II or a 710 Literature. The 710 is the better percentile ranking… Which out of those two scores should I send to colleges?
Send all three, all are good scores
Assuming the college does not require all scores, personally, I would just send the top 2, which are great scores. The 710 is a good score.
Percentiles don’t matter; scores matter. It is important to understand that for several subjects, the percentiles are depressed because so few colleges request Subject Tests, that the ones that do are the ultra selective ones. As a result, it is the high achieving kids taking the tests. No AO is sitting on the floor cross-referencing scores with percentiles.
Send only the 800 and 790.
If only two are required/recommended, omit the 710. It’s a respectable score, but you’re better off letting the two GREAT scores do the talking.
Only two are required. I will send the 800 and 790 then.
what’s your intended major, for non-stem send the Lit as well, that’s more impressive than the Math 2 score of 790. For STEM, 790 is good but you’ll be competing against applicants with 800. The Literature one is more rigorous and less people take it, so a college won’t be seeing too many scores above 700, but they’ll see a ton of scores above 750 for Math 2.
You forgot to say, “In my opinion” since I doubt there is any source to validate your claim. Regardless, in my opinion, you’re wrong.
Again, IMO, the difference is statistically insignificant.
To be grammatically correct, fewer people take it. Anyway, fewer people take any foreign language Subject Test than Literature, but few people will be impressed by a 710 in Chinese or Korean.
Having said all that, while I think the 790/800 are more than enough, if he wants to send all 3, I doubt it would hurt (or help).
(She) and my intended major is biomedical engineering.
quote and my intended major is biomedical engineering.

She. Your username threw me.
In which case, the 800 and 790 and more than enough.
Totally fine! It’s my cat’s name. And okay I will just send those two then.
If you can take a science one for BME, that would be good, usually engr programs will want to see math 2 and a science. If it’s too late in the process and you don’t want to stress about another test then go with what you have.
“You forgot to say, “In my opinion” since I doubt there is any source to validate your claim. Regardless, in my opinion, you’re wrong.”
This is a message board discussion opinions, why would anyone assume that my statements on any topic are facts, unless I had a source as you mention. Also you seemed so concerned with nitpicking my post that you assumed the OP was a male. Next time use he or she since you’re so interested in grammar and style.
