<p>1st and no, colleges dont superscore ACTs. they superscore teh SATs because all of the section scores are added, whereas teh ACT components are averaged, so superscoring the ACT would not lead to accurate results</p>

<p>Sorry, what does superscoring exactly mean? I have seen the term used many times, but have not figured out its meaning.</p>
<p>FYI, I have two SAT I scores, and both are 1920. They have different subscores.</p>
<p>superscoring is taking your highest scores to make a new total. for example:</p>
<p>1st time SAT: 700m, 600cr, 700w =2000
2nd time SAT: 800m, 600cr, 600w=2000
3rd time SAT: 600m, 650 cr, 750w=2000</p>
<p>then you take the highest from each to make a "new" composite:</p>
<p>800m, 650cr, 750w= 2200</p>
<p>so those students hope that the colleges see that they "really got" a 2200, when, in fact, they werent close to it at all</p>
