ap english 4
ap french 4
ap comp sci
pap pre cal
govern/eco
art 1
off period (would help me with a job the most)
I would love this schedule so much as i would have a chill year

i have a 3.96 GPA and just scared about admissions cause i know that colleges look at the classes your taking senior year and want you to have a rigor schedule. But my junior year was so stressful with just 2 ap classes and 2 honors with NO JOB so i kinda want a break

your second schedule does not really lack rigor. i don’t think that not taking ap stats will hurt you very much. after all, you’re already taking ap english, french, and cs.

I would go with the second. If you put the job on your application, colleges will be able to see why you couldn’t take more APs.

Stats and CS are about as different from math as english is from science

I agree with human997, but I also think that neither of your schedules are particularly rigorous. The only semblance of rigor would be AP French

If you had a 3.96 GPA before then you would probably get a 3.5+ with a job and either of these schedules. Whether that is acceptable or not is up to you.

Another thing to note is not taking calculus. It’s not bad, but it will put you at a disadvantage.

Don’t risk your GPA your senior year. Your second schedule would benefit you more.

I took 6 AP classes and 2 college classes Junior year which was brutal. Senior year, my schedule definitely took a nose dive in terms of difficulty: 4 AP classes, and 2 college classes. I ended up with about 4 hours more of free time everyday than my junior year, definitely a chill year but also a deserved break. Take it easy senior year, but not too easy.
