Which stats class to take for econ major?

hey guys, i'm currently an econ and compsci double major
i'm planning to take stats next semester and i'm wondering which one should i take?
stats 20, 21 , 131A or 134?

which one is the hardest?easiest?
i'm a fairly good math student. 5s on ap calc ab, bc, and stats

Take Stat 134. If possible take Stat 135 as well. Both Stat 134/135 will help with Econometrics (Econ 140/141) which you’ll have to take if you’re an Econ major.

Stat 20/21 are the easiest. Stat 134 is the hardest but it’s easier than most upper-div math classes imo. No idea about Stat 131a.

can i take 134 without taking 20/21?

Does anyone know if Stat 20/21 will be redundant if you took AP Stat and did decently on the test? Or is it a good supplement to AP Stat?

[General Catalog - Statistics Courses](http://sis.berkeley.edu/catalog/gcc_list_crse_req?p_dept_name=Statistics&p_dept_cd=STAT) says that the prerequisite of Statistics 134 is “one year of calculus”.

AP Statistics is not accepted by the Economics major, according to [Prospective Majors](http://www.econ.berkeley.edu/econ/ugrad/prospect_prerequisites.shtml) .

Uh, unless you guys are doing the econ math-track, I would highly recommend just taking stat 20/21. Stat 134 is an overkill of a preparation for the regular econ track.

i am thinking about heading into the math track of econ. so is 20/21 needed for a good result in 134?

No, you don’t need 20/21 for 134. You should be familiar with working with summations (for discrete random variables) and multiple integrals (for continuous random variables). Summations is covered in Math 1B and multiple integrals in Math 53

are cs classes + econ/stats classes combined doable? 2cs and 1 econ/stats classes per semester
