Which subject test to take?

So I’m planning on taking two subject tests in October or December. One of them is going to be biology. However, I’m not sure about the other one. So far it’s between math 2,U.S. History, and lit. However, I have only gone up to trigonometry in math, since my school does not offer pre-cal,and I’ve heard that the literature test is hard( I got a 640 on CR if that is any help).so should I take math 2, literature, or U.S. history?
Thanks for reading!

Usually students take Math 2 or Math 1 and a second test like Bio or US History. All the tests are hard but you can look at the score distribution on the College Board website. If possible, take subject tests in the spring after finishing the related AP classes. Obviously too late for that if you are starting senior year

^There is no “usually”. Ignore that, no need to take a math test if you haven’t had the math classes to support it.

If you are not good at CR, then lit is hard. U.S. History is your best bet from the list you provided if you are good at it. Make sure it is offered on the date you plan to test, a few of the tests aren’t offered on every date.

As the previous poster says, many students take these as they are finishing AP classes in the subject. If your school does not have pre-calc, maybe you also don’t have AP opportunities. You will want to get prep books and study up prior to taking the tests.

Thank you!
