i was just wondering, do college admissions people look at sat 1 math and sat 2 math 2c the same way? do they have place more importance on 2c or do they place the same weight on both tests? thanks in advance.

they are different and math 2c shows more math skill than the sat 1 math sections.

If you're applying into engineering (and sometimes science), colleges may not even accept Math I.

He means math on the SAT I reasoning test, I'm pretty sure

I don't know what colleges think, but the two tests test for different skills. SAT I math tests reasoning and logic, while, from what I hear, SAT II math II is more akin to high school tests, which test on how much you know.

sat 1 = ability
sat 2 = knowledge

yea i meant the math section of the sat 1.
Not the sat 1c

wat would it say if someone gets a 800 on sat 2c but a 720 on the math section on sat1. knowledgeable but no ability?

720 isn't a bad score, contrary to what most people on this forum think
