which to choose?

i have a dilemma. as it stands, my major choice is ChemE but im also leaning towards ECE. At my school, my schedule will allow me to take either AP Chem or AP Physics B. Which should i take considering my major choices? which one is more essential for gettin into some of the better schools in these areas? ( i.e. Stanford, MIT, columbia,etc..)

I'll just assume that ChemE stands for Chemical Engineering, I hope I'm right.
I would suggest taking AP Chem.
I think Physics B is kind of pointless (would be different for Physics C). Quote from Collegeboard about Physics B: "...is not the usual preparation for more advanced physics and engineering courses. However, the B course provides a foundation in physics for students in the life sciences, premedicine, and some applied sciences, as well as other fields not directly related to science."

i shud drop AP phsyics no matter the mjor choice i make? jus waiting to take the phsyics courses in college wouldnt hurt me would it?

it doesn't matter for the other two schools because they're easy but for MIT I would go ahead and try to get some familiarity with physics. Intro chem here (@ MIT) is a LOT easier than intro physics (or rather, the easiest intro chem class is way easier than the easiest intro physics class), if you've NEVER seen physics before you'd get buried. Even a physics B background (basically what I had) is better than nothing.

Well, ok. I responded for "what would be best preparation for college courses" not "what would look best getting into colleges". If the latter matters more to you than the former, don't go to MIT.

well i already think my chances are slim for getting into MIT lol

you dont know :P besides, you're more likely to get in if you just follow your interests.
