I'm considering taking either AP Macroeconomics or AP Microeconomics next year, but I've heard that it really doesn't matter which you take first. Regardless, does anyone have any tips or general suggestions as to which might be better to take first?

Really, there’s no difference… but the general consensus at school is that macro is 100000 times easier than micro. I guess you could say you want to get to know the “big” picture before moving onto micro.

On the other hand, macro is more of a “senior” class. But I’d say take macro first since it’s easy.

Can you take one of them as a class and self-study the other?

Doesn’t really matter.

oh ok, thanks for the advice
I’ll probably self-study macro
