Which UC's have you got Regent's Scholarship Letters From?

So far the following schools have offered at least one transfer applicant an oppurtunity at the Regent’s:

UCLA - Yes
UCB -
UCD - Yes
UCI - Yes
UCM-
UCSD -
UCSC -

I thought UCI automatically considers the applicants for scholarships based on their academic excellence. My son received his financial awards yesterday, it has no mention of any scholarship money. He was accepted to UCI long time before anyone else heard about it. His aid said something like ‘priority funding’ and he is invited to Honors program. I wonder if there is supposed to be something still coming in e-mail.

^^ Your son sounds like a freshmen admit, not transfer. Lucky kid tho

I am still confused and have yet to get a concrete answer. Does UCSB not have regents scholarships for transfer students? And if not (out of curiosity) why not?

"Notification of awards
Begins March 1.

Academic criteria
Freshman applicants: Depth and breadth of academic preparation, test scores and GPA are among criteria reviewed.

Other criteria
Other factors considered may include personal statement included with the application, extracurricular activities, and other indicators of academic excellence and promise. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or have official refugee status.

Supporting documentation
None.
"

That’s what UCSB’s says.

Also, you must have a 4.0 to receive these? I have a 3.95, and I am mostly interested in UCSC where less 4.0 students are transferring (I would assume)? So maybe people in the 3.8+ area who are transferring get offered some cash to tempt them towards their campus?

I am interested in this as well. Bump!!! I applied for fall 2014. I have a 4.0(as a transfer) . I also have a low family income. How did you guys get invited? Just by gpa or what? Any info would be appreciated. Is it for people who don’t qualify for the blue&gold? How will we know we got regents or blue&gold??? Thanks!!!

I received the actual scholarship from UCI and I never even applied for it.

I’m with @ccnube!
I’d love to get more information on the regents scholarship!

wow, really? @HopingToXfer , I was freaking out that the scholarship had an application. Are you already at UCI/transferred?

I am at UCLA. I know for some other colleges you have to apply to get it. I’m not sure if UCI changed their process.
