The UCSD 6 college system is really messing with me.

My major is Anthropology (Cultural) and I am not sure how to go about finding out what college is the best for me to apply to or what the real difference is at all.

Yes. I applied (and was admitted) to UCSD as a cultural anthropology major a few months ago. I ranked Marshall first, and was placed there. I ranked the colleges as following:

Muir offers the most flexibility… Plus I read about all the different colleges on the UCSD website and liked what Muir represents… There is a lot of material on the website that will help you make your decision! Plus you can read about all the different colleges on wikipedia… super cool!

Marshall requires only 2 upper division courses that are non contiguous (the same number as Muir but I think this gives you more freedom).

Warren requires 3 upper division courses that are non contiguous to your major after transfer

Muir requires one writing course (Muir 125) and one U.S. cultural diversity course. The advantage with Muir though is that you can complete the cultural diversity course before transferring.

Is there any difference between the schools apart from the GE requirements? According to their website, Muir, Marshall, Sixth, and Warren’s GE requirements can be fully completed by IGETC.
