Good grief. Please let it go @Nomorelurker . Not going to waste any more time bothering with your
obvious misunderstanding and need to defend it. It would be a real shame if this thread were closed because of a derailment to the rankings, etc. Get over it and get your last word in. Will put you on ignore.
With all of the touring going on this fall, are there any new up and comers? Any small colleges implementing particularly innovative programs? Schools with an above 50% admit rate that are still attainable, but with their star on the rise? The 50% is just random - not meant to be specific.
Of course, one will defend when another forum member falsely accuses another of putting words in their mouth or denying something that has not been denied.
In our area (PA), I’ve recently been impressed by the number of students interested in and choosing to attend a smaller LAC, Washington & Jefferson. TBH, I might have mentioned it before since this thread has gotten longer, but it’s worthy of mentioning again.
I’ll admit to not knowing or caring where it’s ranked on any particular poll. It seems to be quite the nice little school with its graduates doing well in life.
Around our way, University of the Sciences is a little urban gem for people wanting to go into pharm, chem, or pt. They recently lowered their tuition, and the students are very successful post-graduation.
@Creekland,
Does Washington and Jefferson still have some unique scholarships? They used to-- would have to look back and see if they are till available.
