which university should i go to

i have selected most of my universities ...but i am confused between syracus university, james madison and rutgers brunsweek...i am goin to apply for the business program ...so need to decide asap .....

What are your scores like?

What do you want to find out about? What can’t you decide upon?

You should wait until you get your acceptances and your financial aid offer before deciding which one to attend. You don’t need to decide ASAP. Unless you have to choose from those three for your last application… If so, are you in-state for VA or NJ?

i am an international student…my gpa is around 3.8 and my sat exams are on 7th December i am hoping to get around 1800 to 1900 score…but i need to select one school from these three for my last aplication and cant chose…i need a good business school…but i also need aids …so i want to chose two universities from the following

james madison university

Syracuse university

rutgers brunswick

university of connecticut

You’re int’l and you need aid?

Then why are you applying to Rutgers, UConn and James Madison? Those are publics. They’re not giving need-based aid to int’ls. Don’t know what S does.

How much will your family pay each year?

What are the schools on your list? Who has been advising you?

Your stats, if your projected SAT is accurate, will not be high enough for the schools that give int’ls need-based aid, nor are they high enough for large scholarships.

Much will depend on how much your familly will pay. If not much, then don’t waste your money on apps.

hmm anyway if i had to chose which two should i chose for my business undergrad program …

From the Syracuse website:

OP, it looks like none of the schools you name are great options for you in light of your need for financial aid. You need to do more research and make better choices.

need based scholarship would be good…but i have no problem in going with out it at the moment so i was just confused between the 4 universities…as in which two are best for business undergrad

If you need financial aid, these universities aren’t good options.
Syracuse may be a good option for merit.
If you don’t need financial aid, then James Madison and Rutgers.

thanks but why is uconn does uconn rank less the james madison, syracus and rutgers new brunswick for business management

Can you rephrase your question?

sudman, they’re telling you that if you need a lot of financial aid, those aren’t good schools for you to apply to. It doesn’t matter which one is ranked the best or the lowest–if you won’t get sufficient aid, then you’re wasting money by applying.

*need based scholarship would be good…but i have no problem in going with out it at the moment *

What does that mean? Are you saying that you REALLY do have the money to pay all costs? or what???

sorry for not being clear enough…the thing is that i do have the money and my first priority is to get into a good school…after that choice i was just wandering among these universities which two give the most aid to international student…sorry for confusing u guys …

If you have the money, you will not get financial aid.
Financial aid is for students who can’t afford to pay for the university’s costs AND whom the university really wants.
You don’t get to decide if you receive financial aid or not.
In addition, if you don’t apply as a freshman, you can’t apply later on since your admission rests on the premise you’re full pay (ie, you are admitted over someone else because you can contribute more money).
There is such a thing as merit aid at Syracuse and UConn, I think. You need to check the website for “scholarships” and look at the criteria to see if you exceed them (meeting the criteria is not sufficient if it’s a competitive scholarship).

hmm thanks …so …i still dont know which university should i apply to … as in irrespective of aids …school wise which two should i apply and why
