Which Vocab List worked best for Oct 2008 SAT?

I don't read as much as I should. Think I am going to give Direct Hits, PR and RR a try. Also how do I find the old CC compilations on past tests? The point was made on another thread that words (NUANCE) from the June SAT were also on the October SAT.

hm.. I didn't really study vocab except in the summer (briefly) but I guess I have to say Barron's :D

Look I know memorizing Barrons 3500 may take some time

BUT

IF YOU MEMORIZE the entire list or most of it at least, there are NO WORDS the SAT will have that you wont know

Why memorize 3500 words to get 20 hits? A better and more efficient use of time is to combine Direct Hits, PR's Hit Parade and Rocket Review's Core words. The 500 or so words from these lists have generated an amazing number of hits on the March, May, June and October SATs. In short, Barron's means learning about 170 words per hit while the DH-PR-RR combination means learning about 25 words per hit.
