Volunteer Day, Tuesday, the 25th. Im curious, are there really 6,500 frosh and transfer students who really participate. The impression I got was that most of the kids who participated were premed majors trying to shine up their CVs. Wrong impression? I didnt think it would be that many students. How many buses and how many per bus?

Wednesday, 26th, a day of rest.

Thurday, classes started and the academic grind began.

Sounds like a lot of fun, though; good luck, new Bruins.

That’s a good point, scorpions. My post certainly wasn’t all-encompassing, but these were some of the videos available. If you have youtube videos, even self-made, go ahead and link more of the activities. Football on Saturday the 22nd, was certainly one from the “prior” week. And my supplying the linkages to the videos were to show those not affiliated with UCLA, some of the things which occurred, which you already obviously knew. ;)

Ah okay~ I didn’t really check out videos. XD I just go to the events offered at UCLA.
Here is a good list of what zero week looks like for UCLA: [Event Calendar | True Bruin Welcome](UCLA Calendars)

If you’re like me and want to do everything… it’s somewhat hectic and it requires planning, etc. and walking from one place to another takes time, too. Also, the events listed on that website aren’t the only things going on either. XD For example, there was a sneak of Looper last Thursday night (sneak = we saw the movie for free and before the first midnight showing).

Certainly, that’s one of the perks of going to college in LA in your getting to see pre-release viewing of a lot of new movies. Maybe you’ll even get to Q&A a director or two afterwards.

But if someone is like me, he/she would be visually oriented and would like to see a youtube video of the event. If I just stated that Bruin Bash would be on Sunday night, without a link to the fun had by what appeared to be all who attended, persons not affiliated with the U would have no idea of the fun students would be having in seeing up-and-coming, before-they-were-stars performers.

And the best of fortunes with your academic career and extra-curriculars at UCLA. I appreciate students as yourself who are actively involved and want to experience all the U has to offer. You’ll go far…

One of the perks of UCLA is definitely seeing movies for free and early. HOWEVER. For, what I’d guess, most of the movies, you’d have to wait in line to actually get to see it. For Looper, I waited in line starting from 5, and the movie showed at 8…

Thank you~! I’m wondering, are you a UCLA student?
