White House Internship

That’s the article! I like their version more than the one I thought I remembered. I did a photography project on Pete Souza last semester. There is some great stuff coming out on the WH Flickr page every week ([Flickr: The Official White House Photostream’s Photostream](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■/photos/whitehouse/)). Souza did some really solid work with Reagan as well. There’s a story about Reagan touring Red Square and getting some pointed questions from Russian tourists. The theory was that they were KGB families planted to grill Reagan. That was later confirmed when, in 2004, Souza went back and found a pic of Reagan with some tourists, one of whom turned out to be Vladamir Putin, in his KGB days. I actually listed the WH Photo Office in my top three intern preferences.

Oh, I am all about the West Wing trivia. I’ll start it off… what character revealed during an episode in season five that his/her nickname in high school was Big Bird? I may only remember because that happened to be my nickname in high school (haha), but it’s all I could think of tonight. First person to get the answer right gets to work in the WH office of their choice. Ok, not really, but I tried. :)

I don’t know but I would guess that was CJ?

Does anyone remember what CJ’s code name for the secret service was?

Ding ding ding. Correct.

And that would be flamingo.

What about what are Toby’s kids names?

That would be Molly and Tuck, after Zoey’s Secret Service agent and Andy’s grandfather (if I remember correctly). When did Josh’s father die? Bonus tangent question: Who is the real-life basis for Josh Lyman?

Josh’s father died during Bartletts first primary campaign.
But who is the Josh character based on?

Sorry to interrupt the trivia–great show, by the way–but has anyone heard anything?

does anyone else hate the uncertainty about this whole process??? hahaha its driving me nuts

i am so there with u akshar! im thankful that it’s a busy week at my work office

Hey, anyone remember the butterflies in your stomach the night of June 30, because we thought we’d know the answer the next day? That seems like months ago. Like I said before, they can take as long as they like, as long as it’s a Yes. Yep, Josh’s dad died the night of the Illinois Primary. Here’s a hint on the other question: In the episode where a newspaper article cites a story about Josh sending a pollster who’d displeased him a dead fish wrapped in newspaper; that really happened. I’d just tell you, but the answer is too good to spoil. Tomorrow’s the day! Everyone cross your fingers!

Josh Lyman = Rahm Emanuel. Easy. :)

So you don’t think it’s possible we’ll still hear today?

OK–name Bartlett’s daughters.

No, I think by 2pm eastern, we’d have started hearing by now. I went back and looked at the time line of the summer internship notifications on the thread. April 24th. It started earlier in the day. You know they had a facebook group? They were seriously better organized than us. Ellie, Zoey, and Liz (Liz took me the longest to come up with, which is terrible because that’s my wife’s name!) What’s Sam’s middle name?

Ha, good one. Had to think on that. But I think it’s Norman.

Where is Donna from?

(p.s. I could do this ALL day long. Which is bad. Because I am taking the bar exam in 13 days. Whoops!)

shes from minnestoa. that was such a funny episode.

looks like its tomorrow then…

Great catch. I would have just said Wisconsin, but that’s the easy answer. I loved when Mary Louise Parker was on the show, by the way. “The First Lady just asked me to get boozy with her, you don’t think I want to write a book one day?” What did Toby’s dad do for a living? Both jobs!

Btw, I got the name of Toby’s son wrong. It’s Huck, not Tuck. Oops!

Yeah, I was going to point that out, but it seemed like too many posts ago. Haha.

Toby’s dad made some kind of clothing, but I can’t remember. And of course he was a hit man. Tailoring and murder usually go hand in hand, right?

After Mallory breaks up with Sam, she dates a professional sports player. What sport does he play?

Hockey! But allegedly he’s not very good at it. That’s one of my favorite episodes. When Mallory tricks Sam into ranting about Mars: “'Cause it’s next. 'Cause we came out of the cave and we looked over the hill and we saw fire. And we crossed the ocean and we pioneered the West and we took to the sky. The history of man is hung on a timeline of exploration and this is what’s next.” You can’t put practical restraints on discovery.

What does Will do after the Bartlett Administration?

House of representatives?

What about Toby–what does he do afterwards and where?
