So I was all set on going to UW but now I'm re-considering my choice because I've heard it's pretty hard to get a high GPA at UW and going to Whitman and SCU would be a little easier to get into a good Medical school Later on. I know it depends on how hard I work but I'm not trying to set myself up for failure by choosing the wrong path! Any opinions would help!!!! I was accepted to Vanderbilt too but it's a bit far for me.

I'm planning to be a Molecular Biology major or a Biology.

There is a Health Professions Info Session during the Student’s Admitted Day that you might want to attend; it helped solidify my decision in going to Whitman. Plus, you can also speak to the Health Professions adviser for more information. Hope that helps!

(1) i feel so free here that i am trying things i would have never tried before, like karaoking, swimming, and dancing. i love being able to go to plays, concerts, and performances with people who equally enjoy it.
(2) the people here are amazing and interesting. they are so brilliant that i felt so intimidated and daunted at the beginning of the year. they can be so passionate about things i would never have thought of, such as horses. they are also really friendly, down to earth, and i have met a lot of kindred spirits.
(3) the academic courses are definitely harder than high school, but if you work hard, then you’ll definitely succeed. plus, the college provides an amazing academic support group: such as student advisers to help guide you through registration, read your encounters essay, and help you with calculus and chemistry. if you need a tutor, you can always request one and it is free. the professors have flexible office hours.

i think that a lot of prospective students are hesitant in attending whitman, because it feels so isolated. but i think that’s the beauty of this college. moreover, whitman college has a great retention rate–that has to say something, right?

and no, i don’t mind you asking! continue asking!
