Who already got accepted into schools that say they send acceptances late March?

I'm panicking since there seems to be a quite a few...

Many of these MAY be likely letters, cuz I got a likely letter from Rice today. Don't worry about it, few universities actually give out real acceptances until the time they say so.

I was accepted into a school earlier than I expected and so were some of my friends. It's nothing to worry about, though. It's not like they only send out batches of letters at a time or anything ( like likely letters). You'll hear from the college the same time everyone else hears from the college even if it is earlier than you all expected. Plus, you'll notice most schools say BY April 1st not ON April 1st. Some of my friends who have already graduated said they started receiving letters the 3rd and 4th weeks of March, even for some selective universities.

yeah i've heard about seniors this year in my school who've already been getting acceptance letters...

one girl got into stanford in january (fine arts app, whatever that means) and another got in mid-february to yale....both applied RD

i didn't know this was possible. any other such instances?

^Maybe Christmas shall come early this year and we all will be favored with an early call.

Don't worry about it. If you don't get a likely, it doesn't mean you're not in.

I got a letter from Fordham explaining that I was an outstanding applicant and that I should receive my full acceptance package in the coming weeks.

Too bad I really don't want to go to Fordham ... :)

likely letter from dartmouth feb. 15 (snail mail), likely e-mail from rice yesterday

I have gotten into Duke by likely letter. On Monday, Wash U in St. Louis chose me as one of their Research Scholars and I figured that meant I was in there too. Today I got a letter from Wash U. in St. Louis saying that my acceptance letter will come within the next two weeks and that the associate dean of engineering will call me soon as well. So, I'm in at Duke and Wash U St. Louis.

You said you got a "likely" letter from Duke? what did it say? are they asking you to come for a visit?

Does anyone know if UChicago mails likely letters? Because I didn't get one (not that I was expecting to)

I've gotten three acceptance letters, ranging from one in November (not even ED or EA...yeah, it was weird...) to a few days ago. But the one I got from Ithaca (that's the few days ago one) came a few weeks after my friends Ithaca acceptance letter, and a second friend hasn't gotten either an acceptance or rejection letter yet. We all auditioned/interviewed for the same department within a week of each other, so I wouldn't be worried. I think that's a good example to show how, even within one college, acceptance letters can come at radically different times.

SUNY Binghamton told my son he would hear between March 1 and April 1. He went onto their site tonight and he was accepted into their business program.

I got early notification at virginia tech last week who said i wouldnt hear back till april
