who am I?

not citizen, parents only graduated from high school

should i be called as a first-gen immigrant?

do i get better chance to get into college?

not a citizen? illegal immigrant lol? JK.

If your parents attended college regardless where it was, you are not considered first generation.
If you have a high GPA and SAT or ACT, then it may help considering you have only been here for short amount of time. On the other hand, it may hurt if you don't do well and some colleges may require you to take TOEFL(several hours long and $150 each).

correction, high school - -

If you're parents only graduted from high school, then you are first generation. It does help a little but not much.

ops, I am sorry! Congratz for being a first generation like myself lol! Some schools do look at that which helps.

to thankyoual, haha, u were not wrong, i changed, because i meant to type high school, but instead i typed college XP

but then how would college know we r first generation?

They will when you fill out information about your parents' highest level of education.
