When I went through the biological parts, I found that different publishers have categorized the same part to different categories.
1.Thalamus Hindbrain(PR)? Forebrain(Barron's)?
2.Reticular Activating System Hindbrain(kaplan/PR)? Midbrain(Barron's)?
3.Hypothalamus/Hippocampus/amygdala Forebrain(barron's)? Midbrain(PR)?
4.limbic system midbrain(kaplan)? Forebrain(Barron's)?

I am really confused. Who can help me?

Interesting...I went through only barrons.

For me, I'd "play it safe" and go with the harder one. Of course, I think it's safe to say that the forebrain includes the limbic system, so you should make the connections there, y' know what I mean?

thx...I think I understand to some degree

isnt it called the frontal lobe?
the limbic system is like that circle thing outside the brain stem. the thalamus is the top of the brainstem. and the reticular formation is inside the brainstem.
hypothalamus is below the thalamus and hippocampus/amygdala is part of the lymbic i think.

so yea. frontal lobe includes limbic system. i dont think it has anything to do with the occipital lobes or the ones on the side.
