Who Else Bombed the AP CHEM TEST?

wow, i walked into that test confident, and walked out scared. I found the AP chem test amazingly hard and I would be lucky to get a 1. If anyone wants to share their experience w/ this years AP chem test, please, be my guest…I can now only pray that something goes wrong and I somehow wind up getting a 3.

I'm not taking it this year. But a friend (MIT randomites type) told me he did ok. Although he said he did ok on the SAT and we found out 2 weeks later that he got a 1590. That's abit out of subject, but I think some people did really well.

I found the test to be fairly difficult. It's all probably due to the fact that I have a horrible AP Chem teacher. I've got a little old russian guy who's retiring next year. He stoppped caring about all his students about a decade ago, so I didn't learn anything from his class. It also doesn't help that we don't do chemistry in his class. Everyday he tells us stories of how he meets his "lady friends" and calls us shmegigs if we fall asleep. Yup, didn't learn a thing in that class, and I think it will show in my AP Chem grade.

However, I don't attribute my prediction solely upon my teacher. Until the end beginning of the third quarter, I didn't have much motivation to study. I guess it's my fault then for not teaching myself.

You should have just take a free period and delf-studied!

self-studied*

though I realyl didn't learn a lot in class (teachers 1st year teaching AP Chem) that class saved my butt onthe free response. I nknew how to do nearly all of it becasue of all the free response problems he did in class.

MC 1-15 was killer.

no matter how great your teachers are, you should alway get a prep book

"I'm not taking it this year. But a friend (MIT randomites type)"

Whats with the esoteric nice way of saying stereotypical nerd.

Oy! Why did you feel confident? BEcause you studied or because you thought you were smart? Is there a particular thing you wish you focused on more?

I studied a grand total of 1 hour and didn't have a review book...such is my test preparation.

I thought it was really hard. I felt confident about 6 questions out of 75. I have a great teacher too...go figure.

i studied, pretty hard too. I always got an A on the chem tests, which were basically questions resembling the AP test, and I thought I understood what I was doing. The MC 1-15 was quite tough, but i dunno, i guess I was not as prepared as I thought I was........

I found the AP Chem test to be considerably easier than the material given on tests and practice exams in class. We had excellent preparation. I found the test to be rather easy. I also studied VERY hard throughout the year, and this is my second year of Chem.

Matt

I don't think I bombed it. (I hope not.) But it was difficult in some areas. And in others...it was incredibly easy. I guess it depends on if you were comfortable with the material. Then the questions were insultingly dumb.
