Mine’s more complicated slightly.
Psychology ~3.4, 3.03 reported (academic renewal pitfall)
Yay for gaurenteed appeals

Itach how do you have a guaranteed appeal?

Psychology 3.76

Anthropology
3.83
TAP

@Ella89

I mean yay that I’m gaurenteed to have to appeal lol, I was being sarcastic because there’s absolutely no way I’m getting in without an appeal.

Ohhh haha okay! I’m planning on appealing too for psych cuz I have a 3.65 with no TAP. I thought you a knew a loophole and I wanted in! Haha

Lol i heard that if you have a 3.3+ with tap and is applying to a non-impacted major your in!!

@Ella lol trust me I’ve looked up every way possible to increase my chances. What happened is I had to apply/update before an academic renewal at SBCC went through… in fact it’s been 6 weeks tomorrow since I signed off on it I need to call them and ask them *** the holdup is. They JUST changed it from a 2 year wait down to a 1 so instead of waiting till the summer I have a chance to do it now… if they’d just move their butts. 3.65 w/o TAP is still pretty good, 3.7 is the average if I remember so you’re right on the cusp. You might not have to appeal necessarily. Good luck!

What does it mean when you say, ‘applying as a non impacted major?’

If you look at the profile of admitted transfer students ([Transfer Prep - Letters and Science majors - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/lsmajors.htm)) An asterisk [li] next to a major name below indicates that the number of applications to this major greatly exceeds the space available. In most cases, this means that both the GPAs and completion of preparatory coursework from successful applicants tend to exceed the overall average.
[/li]

The asterisked majors are impacted.

And according to my honors program I’m a 3.63 TAP applying for Amer Lit and Cultures. I guess I’ve been calculating my GPA wrong lol.

French
4.0
TAP

psychology. 3.65ish with tap. the wait is KILLING me…

Economics - 3.82 w/ TAP

Principle Major: Mathematics/Economics
Alternative Major: Applied Mathematics/Science

GPA: 3.5 w/ TAP
Major GPA: 3.6

I’m still really nervous about this selection process - I got a C in my first semester calculus course that has been haunting me for the last couple of months…it was a 5 unit class, so it really shot my GPA down…good thing for TAP and appeals though. lol :(
