Who got accepted or rejected from UC Santa Barbara?!?

accepted 4.2, 1940 SAT, 690/620 SAT IIs, 6 APS, several community service hours
but rejected from uci. is this the case with any of you that were accepted?

^^

Haven't heard back from UCI yet. I'm kind of scared since practically everyone at my school has gotten their acceptance already.

accepted as undeclared and definately attending

1840 SAT (530 reading, 580 writing, 730 math)
3.85 GPA
SAT II 650 Math 2 (without a calculator) and 630 US History
Not too many ECs other than ski club but had about 300 hours of community service over the summer when i volunteered to counsel at a summer camp

Fairly good essays, talked about my lame hometown and how I had to get creative because there was nothing to do and then talked about how I counseled and looked after kids at a summer camp up in Tahoe...

Fairly mediocre stats considering everyone else that is in this group but im nonetheless happy and very stoked on getting accepted

Well, I don't know what you are considering, but CSUF is a great school. Personally, I go to a high school right across, and I have friends whom have taken advance level math course there. The professors are really nice, and the school is prob the best with the Cal State system. (but Linear Algebra from the math department was extremely painful ._.)

Sorry to hear about your UCs. Hopefully the UCI is better

Accepted

SOO, I think I'll end up going to SB after all... I want to major in Philosophy and Economics and SB should be good for that (although its only an OK philosophy school). I really want to go to Berkeley and I am still waiting on that (results should come out the 26th) but I rly doubt thats going to happen... I got rejected from UCLA already. Oh well, I visited SB yesterday and it was awesome. Im going to go again in two weeks when there are people there (spring break starter end of last week so there weren't many people).
