Who got an iPhone?

alamode,

None of the other MP3 players were able to integrate the whole package in the way that the iPod did. The integration of the software and hardware, along with the ease of use, did in many ways revolutionize music listening.

"Best" is also very very subjective. If you're looking for ease of use and nice aesthetics, then it's perfectly acceptable to call it "best."

I've used it and does think it offers, by far, the most enjoyable mobile phone experience, if nothing else. The iPod feature is great. Safari would crash on facebook but they recently fixed that. I would say UCLAri is starting to sound like an Apple fanboy on this thread if I didn't agree with him.

iPod "revolutionized" the way we listened to music not because it was the first mp3 player, but because it was the first mp3 player people actually used.

Oh, vicissitudes, don't get me wrong... Apple can tick me off a lot.

I think that they need to address plenty of issues, and I don't think that Steve Jobs is the Jesus of the electronics world. I just think that they have managed to produce some nifty stuff in the past 5 years, and I give credit where credit is due.

I still want one................. lol
