I do I do!! I'm in Fairfax, VA, and yes, we're definitely lightweights. They told us we were closing last night around 8 pm, when there wasn't even snow on the ground yet. We got about 4 inches where I am.

I do!!! First snow day of the year for us and probably the last one for me in High School. We literally have over 14 inches outside and it's still going!! Maybe a delay tomorrow??? Probably not but it never hurts to hope.

I had oneee in Maryland!

Not I! We've had 8 days off this year, 3 for a windstorm and 5 for snow, so I don't want anymore. We're already making up 3 days. We're still getting out May 22, so it's not like we're staying over into the summer or anything.

I've been off 2 days from the same snow storm...yes!!! plus it was only like 4 inches

And 2hr delay tomorrow(technically today).

^ yep me too

As if your school district doesn't...

For the record, our school district never cancels school over snow. We had over a foot once and school remained open.

i think sunny states should have sun days where it's just too hot to go to school

Wow we got around 8 inches but the streets are fine and they closed school again (not that I'm complaining).

two hour delay today

gonna be 84 here today v_v

cancelled for 2nd day in a row (Asheville, NC)

Actually, Fairfax has a 2hour delay today (I'm actually surprised it wasn't canceled lol) and Arlington starts on time.

delayyy for meeee (HoCo; we're like Fairfax lol)

What? Damn you pansy Virginians.

this past monday there was a few inches of snow, and all the schools in our area had 2 hr. delays, then closed (sometimes after a couple students were already on buses, which was funny) b/c it snowed till about noon and it's all back roads

my school didn't even have a delay-the superintendent was in ohio and the assistant was AWOL and we just have a fill-in principal (long story) so NO ONE WAS AROUND TO CALL IT A DELAY OR SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!

We were the only school to stay open and have the first day of spring sport practices. Ugh...

Haha, I bet my school is one of the schools with the least holidays/ days off.
We didn't get Veteran's Day nor President's Day along with some other holidays off.
We don't get snow day off because it doesn't even snow down here.
& although we get a ton of testing, we don't get days off the next day nor can we leave campus even if we don't take the test. (which I think is really stupid.)
& classes finish at ~ 4 PM + we don't go by the two 9-week semesters, which is why we have a lot of tests/etc.

We don't get MLK/Veteran's/President's/Columbus off.

They took two days out of our spring break because of snow days :(
