i applied early to a scholarship and i got an email address maybe 2 weeks before i was officially notified of my decision. i had realized this and called the admissions office to see if this meant anything - the guy actually laughed and said, “well there you go. now you know if you got in”

^^thank you to confirm that it looks like an admission!!! but i have a hard time figure it out for which college?? Emory or Oxford? (since my D applied for both)

oh, the neurosis! I don’t have an active email address under that section. Epic college admissions fail in the making?

EDIT: Did anyone else apply to Emory with the online/non-common app. application?

How/When did you guys get the email address??? Did the school email it to you??

no, i found it on the main page on Opus!

*EDIT: Did anyone else apply to Emory with the online/non-common app. application? *

I did. I’ve yet to get an e-mail address.

Oh alright. I was just wondering because I only know one other person that got the Emory specific online application email. Thanks!

it has no correlation, because my address is not even available…and i know 100% im getting in (i did an internship with an emory doctor, and URM qualified)

That’s quite ambitious of you to say BigWeight :]

BIGWEIGHT: If i were you i will be worried that your address is not even listed!

Haha, holy e-beef, batman! Decisions won’t come out until April 1st so we should wait and see if there was any correlation between the email and acceptance then rather than make bold statements on here :)

Did you have to click anything on Opus, or did the email address just appear??? This is worrying me a bit.

I don’t have a campus email and I’m not worried about admission. There’s probably a different reason why certain people have campus emails, maybe based on how or when they applied. You guys could try to figure if there’s some sort of connection, but I don’t really care. Like BigWeight, I’m pretty sure too.

I am sorry guys, I do not want to sound arrogant…but this is the school that I considered as my hometown safety match. I hope we all get in though!!! GO EMORY

I’m not worried either. It’s a low to mid match for me.

Go Eagles!!!

I found out I have an active email address (@emory.edu), I think it’s a good sign considering it came up recently. To those who know they’re in- I agree that not having an email does not imply denial! Obviously we’ll know by April 1st, but speculating is the only thing getting me through these final weeks :)

so, we are 2! my D has an active email since 3 days ago… and i was wondering who else has gotten one?? did you apply to Oxford too?? my D applied to both,Emory and Oxford…and i don’t know if this e-mail is related to Emory or Oxford? i know that is a good sign for sure!! congrats!!

cmp123, are you also Questbridge?

LaVieEnChocolat, I think I recall that Questbridge finds out about a week or so before RD, so maybe that’s what’s going on with the email and you’ll find out before most of us.

I did apply to both Emory and Oxford, I like them both so either way I’m happy. Oh and I’m not Questbridge

If you send an email to yourself @emory.edu does it come back as undeliverable? That’s one way to check… I believe their format is initial of first name then last name@emory.edu
