Who has gotten accepted into CSOM?

I’ve heard that a few people already got acceptances and I have gotten anything. It’s giving me anxiety and I’m just so flustered!!!

If you’ve been accepted, please help me and let me know:

  1. your stats (ACT, GPA, EC, and what not)
  2. date you turned in your application
  3. when you got accepted
  4. Any other details/tips

Thank you!!

Same!! I applied to Carlson and haven’t heard anything either yet.

same… applied early September to CSOM and did not hear anything yet…

^^ what are yalls stats? I applied October 14th, but I feel like I have a low chance because my ACT was only a 25.

I applied in August and got in on October 1st. 32 ACT, 3.83 UW GPA, lots of ECS, leadership, volunteering, etc. I wouldn’t worry about not being accepted yet; I know multiple students from last year’s admissions cycle that applied in like September and didn’t hear back until February. Frustrating, yes, but not hearing back for a long time doesn’t mean you didn’t get in, so try not to stress. If you think something has gone wrong with your app, you can always contact admissions, and make sure to double-check your app tracker as well to make sure they have all your required materials. Good luck!

nvm - forgot that I answered your chance me.

@noodlessss - UMN is “rolling decisions” but not in order of application received. They work through all the obvious ones first and they may be doing that for another month at least. Did you find out what your new ACT score is? If higher than 25 that’s going to help expedite a decision.

Will adding a personal essay and answering the diversity/major question help?

Last year IIRC the major question was required but the diversity question was optional. Assuming that’s the same this year, then the diversity essay may give you an edge if it helps them understand you better.

I got accepted on November 7th into CSOM! I turned it in a week or two before November 1st and I have about a 3.7 GPA weighted and a 30 ACT score. I’m also a region president of BPA and have been in speech, debate, varsity sports, and have a part-time job. Good luck!

When did you apply?

@JBStillFlying I haven’t gotten my ACT scores yet, but thank you! I do hope it is higher

I applied 8/13, accepted 9/30. 32 ACT, ~4.11 GPA (W, we don’t have UW), lots of leadership, ECs, a couple of hooks, etc. With the deadline just passing, they probably received a ton of applications, so I wouldn’t worry about not hearing back right now!
