+110

went from 1230(march 2004) to a 1470 (october 2004)
in march it was 600 m 630 v
october 720 m 750 v

PSAT 10th: 1150
PSAT 11th: 1150
SAT 11th: 1240 (June)
SAT 12th: 1300 (Oct)

I went in to get it into the 1300's, and I just barely did it...I'm satisfied.

mine jumped 20, verbal down 50, math up 70 :

Still go, though :)

1400 March --> 1430 Oct...how fricking sad!

not an insanely big jump, but a good one:
march: 1470 (800m670v)
october: 1550 (760m, 790v)
...if only i hadn't messed up on the verbal the first time...

1320(11/2003) to 1540(10/2004)
220 point improvement!!

1430 (october 2003)
to 1550 (march 2004)

stelikepalli

Did you do those practice tests in ~3 hours... or did you do portions at a time?

1270 (680M,590V) to...
1350 (740M,610V)

hey guys, i'm glad you all got score boosts as much as i have, i went from a 1340 in May 2004 to a 1540

1120 (June) to 1340 (October). But I messed up the scantron for the math the first time.

1360 ->> 1500

I went from 1420 (M-800, V-620) to a straight up 1600 (M-800, V-800). That's a hundred-eighty point increase in verbal alone.
When I got my scores on Friday morning on the internet, I dropped the F-bomb so loud in rejoice that I woke my neighbors arcoss the road (not to mention my parents). Truly the most ridiculous thing to ever happen to me in my life.
I wasn't planning on retaking cause I thought I did well the first time, but then I went out to Notre Dame and they recomended everyone take at least twice, so I said "why not? could improve"
The system is truly flawed and I just proved it. I'm no brain, I do alright in school but im not top of the class. I just get A's and B's.
Tips for anyone else trying to get a 1600. Just work on timing, cause thats the really hard part about the exam. If you have good timing, good things will happen.

1070 7th grade to 1510 11th grade... I win XD
1370 PSAT... I still win. Well, not really. But in my own little world I do. ;)

Maybe Id Know If Theyd Post My Scores!!!!!!!!

INCREASE OF 710 POINTS, almost doubled my SAT score!
Check it out:

Practice SAT in mid 2001: 760 (I was not sick or anything, just plain SAT-stupid)
Practice SAT in October 2004: 1470, 770 math and 700 verbal (With extreme sleep deprivation that later resulted in flu-like fainting symtoms a few days after the college-board Real SATs Practice Test)
All these practice tests were REAL tests from the college board- all were old tests. Tests were taken under identical conditions except I was not feeling too well in October of 2004.

All the studying and late nights were worth it.

I still wish to improve critical reading- I truly believe that I am capable of doing so.

MORAL OF THE STORY: PERSEVERENCE AND HARD WORK PAYS OFF! THE SAT IS A TEST OF YOUR PERSEVERENCE IN AN IMPLICIT WAY.

After spending about 6 months straight studying for the sat 1 last school year basically from December ish to June I went from starting at a 880 ( first PR class test) to a 1020 ( PSAT) to a 1200 ( real sat in may) to a 1240 ( real sat in June).

My June sat score was 580 verbal 660 math. Now its time to get back in the game for November as I have not looked at ONE sat thing since the June test. I HAVE NOT TOUCHED ANYTHING. But I need to get back in there and break a 1300 for the Nov test. When I study before I basically went through the 10 RS 3 times and i was at the point where I memorized answers which is sick. I also completed a PR class which i would say was a waste of time. My vocab and CR need help and i need to work on hard math problems. How should I go about studying for the sat1 s now.

If you have seen the What are my chances board everybody says I need to bring up my score so PLEASE help me out.

Thanks for your time
