Who has not gotten in UCSD yet? What are your stats?

I have TAG, IGETC and prereqs completed and i’m STILL PENDING

WTH UCSD!

It’s so ridiculous that we are still waiting. I have TAG + 3.8 and yet still waiting, while my classmate, an international student without tag, got accepted in the first batch. Pretty lame…

Any guesses when the next wave will be?

I have some updates for you guys. My new room mate goes to UCSD right now. He is also a transfer student, and he started UCSD in the Fall as well. He said he didn’t get his admission decision until April 29th. So wow, looks like we could all be waiting for a couple more weeks. : (

Also, I heard from another friend that the UCs and the CSUs are making it a priority to admit a majority OUT OF STATE students in order to get the out of state tuition, which as you all know, is far more expensive. Kind of shady if you ask me. The number my friend gave me was 70%. That’s 70% of newly admitted students are from out of state.

@ thatoneguysmells,

For what it’s worth, the increase in OOS students is primarily aimed at Freshman admissions, and less so at transfers. So, as transfer students, we shouldn’t be too concerned. That bump in OOS/International students is mostly hitting Freshman.

This waiting game sucks. I just want to get in UCSD and call it done!!!

You guys keeps saying we haveto wait until April 29th like this admissions stuff is owed to us. Until it gets past April 30th, you all have no right to complain. We are ALL waiting.

^ Actually Fenris,

We are not ALL waiting since a lot of people have already received an admission decision from UCSD. Also, “we” paid $50.00 to apply to UCSD, and many of us need to make arrangements for housing and would like to do so before the last minute. They do OWE us a decision because the act of applying infers that we will receive a decision.

wow don’t take things so literally. i know people have gotten decisions. we could have meant everyone who didn’t have a decision as well. yes they do owe us a decision, but they have until April 30th. So quit your whining.

I really can’t stand you dude. You’re how old? 19? You would be wise to learn that respecting others is the highest form of self-respect.

i actually agree with fenris on this one. all they’re saying is that the decisions will come out by april 30th. nobody is “owed” an earlier decision

^ You misread the language. Nobody is owed an EARLY decision. But, everyone is owed A DECISION.

yeah, but it’s not april 30th yet…

its more in regards to the people saying how “ridiculous” it is that they haven’t released all their decisions yet

^ I said that we are owed a decision. Where in my statement did I infer that we are owed an early decision? My argument was contrasting Fenris in that I said we are indeed OWED a decision where Fenris stated that we are not owed a decision. Time of decision is irrelevant.

you really feel the need to argue over whether UCSD owes their applicants an eventual decision or not? did you really think he was saying that UCSD has the right to never reveal all their decisions? if you did then, yes you win that argument sir

Dude, learn how to read.

learn how to nead??!?!?! what does “nead” even mean?

^ Face-palm.

you clearly don’t understand the English language if you are seriously arguing with me here. it’s pretty simple: stop having a hissy-fit about UCSD “owing” you a decision until after April 30th. “Yes,” they “owe” us a decision, but the fact that you’re whining about it when they clearly stated they have until the 30th to release decisions makes you an immature fool who has no patience. if you didn’t notice, you’re not the only one frustrated with the admissions staff and also waiting; i’m in the same boat, but you don’t see me blowing up at the lack of a status update. so far, we’ve gone through two batches and still nothing. Patience is a virtue.

For the record, you inferred that you are “owed an early decision” with your incessant whining about UCSD Admissions. It’s already implied, through previous years, that everyone is entitled to a decision. if you’re going to make qualms about the obvious and pick me out for that, you really need to grow up and face reality. you’re only grasping at straws at this point because you can’t say anything about what i said because what i’ve said is all truth.

I notice that a bunch of people are frustrated, as am i, but you need to grow up and learn to stop crying like a baby. If you don’t have a decision after April 30th, ***** all you want. It’s already implied in the way UCSD gave themselves a deadline that it’s possible everyone could have been waiting until April 29th to get a decision.

So what would happen if they still aren’t finished by April 30th?
