Does nyu stern look at writing scores? Cause my 1480/1600 is okay but a 650 writing brings the overall down.

Stern does look at writing scores, but they don’t weight it as heavily as reading and certainly not as heavily as math.

I didnt get the newsletter but I have never signed up for any NYU information searches. This is scary! hahaha

couple days , didn’t remember clearly.
It’s via mail.

@ masterpabs2484 Can u post ur stats. Much thanks!!

@smartbear Yeah that’s when I got it. I hope this means something! haha I think it would be so mean to send something like that this late and then reject us, but I could be wrong.

I applied CAS:

ACT: 29 - 10/12 on the writing
GPA: 3.6 - Unweighted, our school does not weight anymore.
- 3 Honors, 1 AP Class

Lots of ECs (sports, clubs, volunteer) and I hope being from Nepal helps :)

@masterpabs2484- If it was snail mail and you recieved it on thursday it must have been the product of an information request-that would be way early for them to have already made a decision on you.

Uh oh…I didn’t get a student newsletter. I doubt it means anything either but still. Everything makes me nervous these days! And nobody should give up hope until the decision letters actually come out, you never know if the admissions people loved your application even if you didn’t :)

My friend was also informed he got accepted into NYU

Okay guys, we are in the home stretch, here! We can do this!!

Good luck to us all!

I understand LSP emails have been sent, and will continue until probably mid this week… but has anyone been accepted to their program of choice yet? Has anyone been accepted/rejected other than LSP?

Thanks- :D

@onthehumanity that’s exactly what I was thinking also, just more nyu promo mail. But it’s not too early for decision because people were getting LSP emails on Wednesday. That probably means they pretty much already decided who’s in and who’s out.

LSP or otherwise @ lalaladium??

tessa i like ur positivity…
im glad theres a set date… but im still worried about what time haahhah

:) Let’s wait…
Be calm, peaceful and happy…

Please chance me! CAS
Do you think I’m okay?

Never took a class lower than honors. Essay was okay.

@laladidum was your friend lsp’ed?

@ raytarddd:
I would say you have pretty good chance for CAS.

ackkk… more chances??

hey everyone.
applied to stern ed. chances are near zero unless my essay/ nice curriculum/ ECs/ SATs will help overshadow my GPA, but eh… not likely, huh?

Anyway, I read over and apparently people called them up and they said decisions will be mailed on the 15th. Why, then, have some received their answers already (non-LSP too).

@rayytard we’re so alike in our stats! i got 2050 too!
