The entire month of June I ditched gym. I didn’t leave the campus, I simply went to the library to hang out with friends or visit teachers. I don’t think I’ve ever skipped a real class before though.

No. I’ve skipped a school day, but, I’ve never skipped individual classes. At my school, they do attendance every period - it’s the first thing they do. If a teacher doesn’t send it in quickly, the office will call them in the middle of class. They also have three staff members who’s only job is to patrol outside the school area and they also have staff members, I don’t how many because they switch all the time, that patrol the hallways during class time.

I also don’t really have a point of skipping individual classes, where am I going to go? Can’t go home because my parents are at home during the day (they work nights) so I’m pretty much screwed.

I went to the mall on senior cut day after prom if that counts.

I went to the bathroom and stayed in the stall for the entire class. (~1hr)

Ditched 7 times because I didn’t feel like going. Ditched 3 times to do hw/study XD

All the time! If I don’t want to go to my first or last class, I have my mom call the school and say I have an appointment. I do this at least once a month, generally 2-3 times.

This year (junior year) we got a new band teacher and I HATED him. My favorite teacher had a plan period when I had band, so almost everyday I would just go to his class to “get help with math” but I actually just messed around on the computer more often than not. Sometimes I’d go to band towards the end and take a note saying I was “getting help” but if I stayed the whole class I’d go to the office afterwards and have the secretary change my unexcused absence to an excused one so I don’t get in trouble. She’s known me since I was like 4 so she’s pretty nice to me, thankfully. If I get bored in another class (AP Psychology and US History generally) I do the same thing. Not nearly as often though. Thank god my Engineering teacher and secretary like me enough to let me stay in his room and do absolutely nothing & keep me out of trouble!

I would never leave the actual building without permission though, I know I’d get in trouble. But if I really wanna leave my mom will call me out… She actually encourages me to leave school and tells me to do it more often, lol.

I skipped the stupid pep rally last year. Brb 2 hours of sitting on a gym bleacher watching stupid stuff.

Just got in my car and left. A lot of people did the same.

I sometimes “missed” the bus to my second school in order to get out of a block of class without being held accountable for it.

All the time in the band room. My band director knows and doesn’t even care.

I had this friend who last year just didn’t want to be at school, so he texted his dad, and five minutes later, poof! He was gone.

I may skip English next year. Do you think that will ruin my chances at an Ivy League?

Almost certainly

LOL @ agenda books. We had to use those in middle school to go to the library during study halls and I think to use the washroom. I think I forged once or twice so I could go to the library. ;)

I have never skipped school while being at school. I have occasionally missed school for various reasons with permission.
