I've never skipped before, though I've 'planned' to plenty of times. Just a couple weeks ago, my friends and I planned to skip school to go see a movie (paranormal activity). I told my sister about my plan and she said I could get arrested if I get caught, so I freaked out and that never happened. It's my senior year and I want to skip once before I graduate, but for goodness sake, I'm such a wuss!

Where do you guys go when you skip? I see kids skipping like 1-2 periods at school, but they stay in the bathroom :l

I’ve never skipped my high school classes before, but I skip my Dual Enrollment classes all the time. I’d rather just read the information from the book than sit in a class with 700 other kids listening the the professor. I still go like 80% of the time though.

Oh please, you can’t get arrested. Unless if you’re doing something awful anyway, and then the police will question you.

I only skip when there’s an assembly at the end of the day that’s completely pointless. And sometimes I tell my Digital Graphic Design teacher that I have SOOO much homework and then I go out to lunch with my friends who have that period free, but I don’t think that counts because DGD is a joke of a class. I guess the only real time I skip classes is when I go to the library instead of orchestra to finish an assignment.

I skipped first period before because I didn’t finish my essay for my third period class. I fell asleep and didn’t wake up in time, so I had to finish it during the morning.

I don’t know why, but people laughed at me in school when I told them I skip, but my parents knew that I was skipping. I guess that’s what CCer’s consider skipping, in contrast to skipping without your parent’s permission.

Haha, that’s what I did in junior high. I go to an online school now so it’s kind of hard to skip. I never skipped dual enrollment classes because I loved those (except theater…)

^Actually, someone probably could if they wanted to. I haven’t figured out how anyone would know. They make you sign a statement at the start of each year that says you wont cheat. The parents are also supposed to check to make sure no one cheats. They also call us periodically and quiz us on the phone to make sure we’re doing the work. I guess they could tell if someone is getting questions wrong in online lessons but get 100s on the test. But otherwise, I can’t figure out how they would catch anyone. I just always assumed the people who are lazy enough to cheat are also lazy enough to not cover it up well enough, lol.
