Who here thinks that much of the reviews are BS

I personally prefer admission chances DOT com better, because you can rate people based on their review of your chances, plus view the profiles of past people who get accepted into their schools.

People who review others on CC are usually too harsh, arbitrary or don't know what the heck they're talking about, but are usually too afraid/pompous to admit it. Everyone who's concerned about their chances should do some research on their prospective school's class profile and maybe look up college resumes of past acceptees, because it'll do them a whole lot more good than posting their stats on CC.

Who agrees with me? People seem to take these things to heart when we're all simply as perplexed as the OP about his/her/their own chances of admissions.

I agree.

But, that shouldn't stop them from posting chance threads.

I posted a chance thread a few weeks ago. Was it completely accurate? No, but it helps.

Plus, I don't have to pay any money and I don't have to do a lot of research.

If you've already researched, you don't want to pay to get some kind of professional stats analysis done (why would you? They really can't say any better than we can), and you're bored and/or need to be distracted from counting down until the end of March, posting these threads on CC are fine.

Of course we shouldn't take the results too seriously, but sometimes these things spark some interesting discussions, which is good.

sometimes it is SO hard to say, even for professional counselors
