That is correct, uppersanddowners!

@uppersanddownders or @NorthwesternDad will they give you a username and password to sign in with when they send that email? They haven’t given me an account with their website or anything like that…

No username etc…they just send you a link in the email and when you click on the link, the admission result along with a letter is displayed.

Good Luck!

The letter starts off with:
Dear [name]:
Congratulations and welcome to the class of 20xx at Northwestern University!

hahha ohmygoodness just reading that makes me nervous. AHHHHHH

what about rejection letters? or how about deferred? what are the chances of getting in if you are deferred?

jennyli929 i’m not sure how the letters go or the odds of getting in after being deferred necessarily but I know it’s not impossible. Two years ago my brother was deferred and accepted.

that’s true…always different every year
and just curious, what does your brother say about nu?

He absolutely loves it. Honestly, he couldn’t love it more. In all aspects: he really has enjoyed his classes and his professors, and also likes the social scene.

thats awesome!
makes me wanna get in even more haha
…all this waiting is making me nervous

i am freaking out

Hey everybody…just a quick note. Remember, that we’re all in the same boat.

You’re not the only one who’s heart stops when thinking about opening up that decision and seeing a combination of letters that will make your week, or year, or life.

We’re all motivated kids and every single one of us deserves to get in. But at the same time, I know all of you will go on to succeed, wherever you attend college.

Good luck, I really mean it.

Very true. Good luck everyone!!

Check your spam folders. My S’s ED acceptance went into a spam folder (!). He discovered it when we were waiting for his twin’s ED to be released ( at 6 pm on a Friday night - hers was the type where you had to log into a website). He was playing with his phone at about 5:50 pm, happened to check the spam, and there it was.
