Phenomenal!

FSU game is SOLD OUT!!! The stadium will be rocking. Please let there be no rain.

Cloud cover would be nice…and a breeze.

Pray for no rain; last thing we need in this one is an equalizer. I’m excited for this one though!

Go Noles!!!

That is all.

sunnyflorida, was the stadium rocking like you predicted??

p2n, excellent foresight on the game. You predicted the FSU/USF match-up was a big game! ;)

Big for USF. Not big for Florida State.

But football is a game and the Bulls won this game. Congrats to them!

goufgators: the stadium was rockin’. I was impressed by the number of USF supporters. The whiteout was visually very effective. But USF green was not too shabby. There seemed more USF folks present than there were UM fans at the labor day game.

Unfortunately, the game was not pretty for FSU. But the students and fans remained in their seats until Ponder was sacked on that fourth down with about 2 1/2 minutes to go in the game. It was HOT (the white was a much better idea than a blackout for a 92 degree noon game), then humid with the light showers in the third quarter. But most stayed until the end.

It was not as bad a win for me as UM game, as I did get my professional degree at USF COM. But when I was there, there was no football…

This game was and still is a lot tougher for me to swallow than the Miami game.

Energy was there from the fans, and the white out was very effective. The team showed no inspiration at all; they came out absolutely flat. Bobby Bowden has got to go. 2.5 million a year; his time has come and gone, and he has our program by the balls right now.

This game will kill our recruiting. Let’s hope USF wins the Big East, we win the ACC and have a rematch in the Orange Bowl. Recruits are already pulling their commitment per rivals. We need to play them again and win.

Enjoyed the game. FSU was a perfect host! I hope to attend the USF-FSU game scheduled for Tampa next go-round.

How did you like the campus, lizard?

Well, I’m a new Nole fan, since my son started this year. I was at the game and walked away feeling that the team could care less whether they won or not.

I’m not a football genius, but I do recognize leadership when I see it. I did not see it Saturday. If they had leadership, something would have happened at halftime.

I’m reserving my opinion on who should go (Bowden, Fisher, etc) but something needs to change.

Coach Bowden is out this year or next. Only next if FSU wins the ACC this year.

Regardless of the emotional aspect of the USF game, it really means little.

Didn’t get to spend too much time walking around campus Sat. We drove up early a.m. from Tampa arriving about 10 a.m. and drove back that night. I have been to FSU many times in the past few years and I am always impressed with the campus each visit. I think the campus looks its best early spring when the azaleas are in bloom. I don’t like Tallahassee in the winter when it is freezing, especially on dark rainy days.

Those days make you appreciate sunshine, which we take for granted around Tampa Bay.

It was an extremely hot day. Students were constantly exiting the stadium and my friend saw some students being taken away in stretchers. But we wholeheartedly supported FSU. No matter how bad they were doing, we were there rooting them on. I’ve been to all the games this year and this is the first time we even did the wave- it was magnificent. But FSU was so disappointing. Much of us students were booing the players at half-time, and I completely understood why. We had the potential to beat USF. We had all the talent, but we got showed up at home. Not impressive. Unbelievably embarrassing.

I was one of the many fans to exit the stadium after Ponder got sacked

I hope you’re right, but I think you’re not considering the negative impact this game has on our recruiting.

I don’t think you should ever boo your own team unless the players do something really stupid like sucker-punch a cheerleader. This isn’t the pros. I mean come on, the students in the stands were passing out in the stands just from sitting in sun, can you image how the players felt getting booed by their own fans while they are getting chased by that defensive line that was dough-popping anything that moved. You can be sure all the FSU players were doing their best and felt bad enough on the field without getting booed by their own fans. That’s embarrassing.

i had enough respect not to boo… But I completely understood why.

However, the players wearing the green were suffering the same conditions.
And I’m pretty sure everyone on the field has had enough conditioning to stand the heat.
Actually, our players had more of an advantage against the heat with the white jerseys.
