As I go into all of these threads, I've yet to find anyone who's incredibly PSYCHED about getting accepted or stressed about rejection. I'm pretty sure I'll be going to NYU....I got into the GSP.

:) Anyone want to ramble about their love of NYU with me?? my sn is jaimelajolie. :))))))))))))

Well, I'm incredibly stressed about rejection. As in, if-I-don't-get-in-I'll-have- a-nervous-breakdown stressed.
My friends keep telling me that I shouldn't worry, that my scores are high enough....But I went back and looked at my essay and short responses and nearly flipped out because, although I thought they were great at the time, now I think that they're awful.

UGGGH same here! all of my friends think im going to get in but im just like...i really honestly dont think so!! my stats are eh so-so (720v, 720m, 700w, 3.4 unweighted, decent ecs but nothing great), who knows about my essays, but then i had to do a portfolio for film and while i felt my portfolio was decently impressive, im not sure about my dramatic essay, and my film was totally either hit or miss. i decided to do some really experimental stuff and even though it was really fun to get to do, now im thinking it may not have been what nyu was looking for =/

i wish we knew NOW, this is death just waiting around!

jaimelajolie count your blessings that you DO already know!

guys, i dont know where youre from but im a couple of miles from NYU on staten island...trust me, NYU, just like any other school, has its blemishes. i only say this because its not the end of the world. there exists life after rejection. but of course, BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!!

Well, my nerves have calmed a bit. I got into my safety school and I'm not dreading having to go there if I get rejected from NYU...
Of course, I still I want to get into NYU

Jaimelajolie, I am SO with you! I was accepted into GSP as well, and even though some people make it out to be a sub-par program (which is what I thought it was at first) I am so excited! I love NYU, it's gorgeous and the atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal. I am so glad we found out early...the waiting was the worst part. Hang in there, everyone! I know it's difficult but all will be over soon. jaimelajolie, where do you think you want to live next year? (which residence hall?)

I'm thinking Goddard...I want a smaller, quieter dorm where I can study and sleep -- you can always go out, you know? It's NYC!!! But I'll be happy anywhere. I just can't wait! I want it to be August already!

I got rejected from 3 schools b4 making it into NYU.... NYU being the 4th and last one i applied to (but probably top choice). Needless to say..... I was stressed.
