I am... I'm not proud of it. But I'm going to.

From what I hear you can get like a 33% for Physics B for a 3. Just get every Kinematic question correct and you'll be in fat city ^_^!!!

r u taking physics B OR C? c is way harder than b.

c just involves calculus....(pause) they are just different stuff, and c actually has less stuff

i am!!!!! go horrible physics teachers! yay.

I got a 4 on a Physics C practice test, so...

about the teachers - mine is a Physics Ph.D from UPENN. Guess I got lucky.

Me! I will cram this weekend but it's pretty much hopeless. :(

i am! im praying for a 3. We learned nothing in 1 year of physics.. all i know is kinematics.

let not waste time and start a physics C study session, I was in the same situation last year, until I found some ccer having an ap chem studiathon it helped me get a 4

Overall, B and C are compare-tivity the same.
What you lose in AP Physics C, you gain in AP Physics B, and vice versa.

ie:
Physics C focus on Mechanics and E&M and has no topics on Optics, Nuclear Physics,...
While Physics B is less focused on each subject and is spread out evenly on every topic

And, you have Physic C stuff (in PDF/DOC) format that you can share/trade.. holler out!

I am ready to fail. I don't even know KINEMATICS, especially the projectile motion problems!

Projectile motion
horizontal V is constant
and vertical V is 0 at max height, thats all u need to know

does anyone have the answers to the physics B 1998 MC? i think my teacher may have given us a handout with the answers, but she gave out so many handouts that i have apparently misplaced it.

The best free guide to studying is to go on CB and check outthe outline of topics that are on the test and do 5 questions regarding each topic. I did this for chem last year and the MC had no surprises.

i'm going to get a -4.
I'm so scared ahh i hate not doing well and i did well on all of my other exams. gahhh

yeah I'm completely scared b/c I have bio (self-study) and physics on the SAME DAY ah! i've decided i'll get a 5---in BioPhysics (2 on bio 3 on physics, haha)

I haven't really seen any kinematics problems on MC, FR though I have, often times it will require using the basic df = (1/2)at^2 + VoT + d0

Can someone post the curves for E&M and Mechanics?

E&M
45 - 90 = 5
30 - 44 = 4
23 - 23 = 3
14 - 22 =2
0 - 13 =1

Mechanics
49 - 90 = 5
38 - 48 = 4
28 - 37 = 3
18 - 27 = 2
0- 17 = 1

MC

correct (35 poss) - 1/4 wrong times 1.2857

Free Response totals

^for getting a 3 on mechanics, is it 28 raw points out of 90 or is it 28 points JUST on multiple choice?

correct (35 poss) - 1/4 wrong times 1.2857

Free Response totals
So if you get all the MC right, you get 35 * 1.2857 = 45. So you would get a 4. If you manage 4 points / 45 on the free response, you would get a 5. That thing lists converted scores.
