Who is still: "No determination has been made at this time."

Who is still getting the message:

“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.”

and anyone with any new news about their status. I’m also trying to see if they will post over the weekend.

thanks :)

mine says that too!

just curious amirpl, but what other schools did you apply to? and what are your stats and major?

Major: Electrical Engineering (impacted like no other)
CSU GPA: 3.59
uw gpa: 3.7

SAT is bad: 1580 over all.

I have a very rigorous course load. Have take 6 AP classes, and several College classes at a community college. I'm currently taking math 212, which is a real Calc 2 class at the community college. That is considered a college sophomore class. So hopefully that gets me a plus with their engineering department.

Lots of EC's with lots of leadership.

well, i didn't get into architecture with a 3.7, 1890 (1190). so i would say you are on the fence as well, if elec. engineering is that impacted...

but the course load should help. then again. i am taking all my classes at a csu right now and look where that got me.

do they even take course rigor into account, even if its all numbers to them.

I am still waiting.
Major: Computer Science
CSU GPA: 3.6uw, 3.8w
SAT: 1790

Same goes for me
UC GPA 4.25
SAT 1520
MAjor: Civil Engineering
Anyone know if civil engineering is impacted as much as the other engineering majors?

Still waiting. Parks and Rec. GPA 3.5. ACT 25 Accepted at SDSU, need to get housing there soon..............

I am a member too of the "no determination made at this time" club. But I just found out that I was admitted to UC Davis, and that was one of my first choice schools, so I'm not too stressed about it. My guess is all of us who are "no determination" club members are rejected, but I guess Cal Poly can't get their acts together to at least give us the courtesy of a rejection in a timely fashion. Also, housing opened up on Friday on a first come first serve basis, and I have NO idea how that is fair to anyone since most of us won't be making our decisions until we hear from the other schools who are coming out during the later part of this month. It seems like they only want to give housing to those kids who got accepted and know hands down that this is the school they are going to, so they automatically accept. Maybe they reject a lot of people they know may otherwise choose a UC? It all seems very random and odd.

I too am a member of the "NDMATT" club and got into Davis. I agree with your post, however, Cal poly can't or shouldn't "reject a bunch of people they know may otherwise chose a UC"....because they don't know that. There are so many factors that go into where we pick...just the differences in location, size and degrees offered, between Davis and SLO are huge---some right for one student some for another. I would pick SLO over Davis....if only I had the choice. still hoping--but not happy about the housing thingy!.

Good luck, sec1082! I would love to know another Rec major other than myself. :(

Wheresmydesk, I lol whenever I see your screenname. :)

ok, does anyone seriously know for sure that they post new stuff over the weekend. Because I think me and whole bunch of others are going to wasting time all weekend by checking the application status every second.

Someone please help....pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaze

im wanting to know too

3.9 w

1900 rmw / 1310 m/r

mechanical engineering...

i sure hope that im not turned down...

archileta, i hate to tell you this, but my stats were about the same (better gpa- 4.2 weighted, a little worse- 1850rwm, 1250 rm- SATS) and i got waitlisted

and i was ME too, but still the best of luck

4610 (sd chargers, waitlisted).
4430 (archileta)

yeah archileta, according ot the eligibility index that poly uses you may be waitlisted or rejected! :S

well thats just great...

don't give up hope just yet.

but be realistic on the situation!
go with your second choice unless you hear otherwise.

thats weird cause i had a 3.7 and 29 act (1230 sat) and got accpeted to ME.. i must have just been lucky or something.

well, davis and slo were my two targets, ive already been rejected from ucsd which probably means no from cal and ucla

so that leaves ucsb on monday, and ive already been accepted into chico's honors program or a double major at ucsc/cal

so at least i have options, just werent the ones i thought i was going to have
