Mr Payne, I agree that some of those IQs sound awfully high.

For those of you who think that GW Bush's SAT is a load of BS, think again. There is actually a club devoted to beating him on the SAT on this site:

His scores were 640 Math / 566 Verbal for a total of 1206. Therefore, he is not an idiot.

A score ending with a 6 on the SAT is very impressive regardless of high it actually is.

hahahahahahaha

Yeah how do you get a 566? I thought always had a 0 on the end because each problem correct is worth 10?

LOL, Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar; he truly excelled academic wise. But of course, he failed miserably when it came to women
[/quote]

Well, I guess that depends on how you define failure when it comes to women. He's seem to have quite a bit of success with women, although not necessarily women that are traditionally attractive.

FWIW, I met Clinton once, and he's got charisma exuding from him like no one I've ever met. Then again, I am kind of chubby, maybe he was sending some vibes my way ; )

the changed the scoring of the test/recentered it.

I wonder what Einsteins SATs would have been...

^^Perhaps not so hot, because in high school Einstein did take the college entrance exam of his day and flunked it -- thereby being denied admission to Swiss Polytechnic university. He later enrolled in a different college.

Angljc1. "Coolio invented indoor air conditioning." really? I like his music; can you provide more information about this?

To explain GW Bush's 1206, the test was recentered in 1995 to make the average score closer to 1000 because it had faded top around 900. This is a little excerpt from Wikipedia's article on the SAT:

"The "old" SAT (prior to 1995) had a very high ceiling. In any given year, only seven of the million test-takers scored above 1580. Assuming that all of the very brightest people in that U.S. age group, which numbers 3 million, took the test, then a score above 1580 has a rarity of about one in 400 thousand, equivalent to the 99.9997 percentile."

Only 7 out of a million scored above 1580 on the old test. The test was "renovated" in 1995. It was curved for the first time so that you could get a question wrong on a section and still get a 800. The grading was changed to increments of 10. Due to these changes, the test became easier. This is why there are hundreds of perfect scores each year instead of just 3 or 4.

If you want to read the full history of the SAT, here's the Wikipedia artricle.

I'm not that surprised at Bush's scores. Sheesh, the intellectual superiority over here! The SAT isn't hard, you just gotta remember fancy words, know basic algebra/geometry and not be careless.

Didn't Lisa Kudrow major in biochemistry in plans of becoming an M.D.?

Anyone mention Natalie Portman yet? 4.0 GPA in high school, bachelor's in psychology from Harvard. That's pretty good for a celebrity.

I was surprised that Will Smith got perfect on his SATs. Some people just have it all . . .

I think I heard that Portman received a 1400 SAT. So she is pretty smart. Not quite Will Smith though. Is anyone going to join that GW Bush SAT club?

I don't know what you're all talking about. Jon Stewart is by far the smartest celebrity out there.

kunfuzed101, Lisa Kudrow planned to study neuroscience. Got a BA in Biology from Vassar.

Actually, I was about to mention her, because getting to that point, then being able to switch gears entirely, means more, IMO, than getting a high SAT score...

If you really want to find the smartest celebrity, look for people whose celebrity status is based on being extremely smart in the first place - someone like Stephen Hawking.

Use this site to compare yourself to celebrities:

This is what I got:

Your score of 1350 means:

You Scored Higher Than Howard Stern
You Scored Higher Than George W. Bush
You Scored Higher Than Al Gore
You Scored Lower Than David Duchovny
You Scored Lower Than Natalie Portman
You Scored Lower Than Bill Gates

Your IQ is most likely in the 130-140 range

Equivalent ACT score: 30

Schools that Fit Your SAT Score:
Brown University
Northwestern University
Carnegie Mellon University
Cornell University
Reed College

I just say that the colleges that "fit" my SAT score are reaches in my opinion, especially Brown. This game was probably made several years ago, when college admissions were less competitive. You should give this thing a try though.

A 1350 SAT is in the 130-140 IQ range. Hah.
