Who is your favorite historical figure?

Teddy Roosevelt :D

As an inspiration, Churchill or Stresemann. And Kitchener in many ways.

For their comedic value, Rasputin or Yeltsin :)

Winston Churchill! For inspiration and comedic value!

While he isn’t my favorite, I’ve always admired TR.

Abraham Lincoln by far. Also like Kennedy and Reagan a lot. As for non-presidents go, Tesla and Salinger.

I second Lincoln!

I don’t know how historic he is, but I love Ray Bradbury!

Emerson!!!

Voltaire always struck me as fairly badass but I don’t know much about him.

Oda Nobunaga?

Seriously I don’t know/care.

Rockefeller, Reagan, and Herbert Spencer

^ Ew.
Ummm…that’s a toughie I’ll get back to you

The one and only, BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater, St. Thomas Moore, St. Thomas Aquinas, Hayek

Washington, Franklin, Voltaire was a cool guy, Teddy, Lincoln, Mark Twain, and I always found Frederick Douglass very inspirational.

Robespierre and Andrew Jackson too. Just because I think they’re fascinating, not because I like them.

Rasputin is indeed hilarious in a sick, twisted way. But still a riot. :D

It’s hard to beat Archimedes on brilliance.

Henry Clay because his plans quickly escalated to the civil war.

I forgot Thomas Jefferson, Pericles, Alexander of Macedon (not Alex the great)

and

CHARLES MANSON

Lincoln and dramatic pause

BAM Archimedes.

There are way too many…

Nikola Tesla, Jack Kilby, Enrico Fermi, Pauli, Feynman, Sun Tzu, George Patton, Douglas MacArthur, Andrew Jackson, every Enlightened thinker, every Greek philosopher, all Nobel prize winners, Gorbachev, Thatcher, Nehru, etc.

Way too eclectic, but nonetheless accurate

Definitely Martin Luther King, Jr. The Kennedy’s and their legacy was invaluable also. Rachel Carson and Henry Ford are both great.
