Oh, maybe Catherine the Great. Just cuz of what she wanted to do with a horse

^She was unfortunately stifled by the noble class…

I think a better example of an Enlightened Despot would be that prussian guy…

[Notice how helpful I am by not giving his name…I think it was Frederick or something]

I agree about Tesla!
Also, I love Abigail Adams and Eleanor Roosevelt! There is something to be said about great First Ladies.
Akbar has always stood out as well.

^I personally admire Birbal, his aide, for his wit.

Also, it helps that I’m related to him…

Andrew Jackson and Peter the Great. They were residential badasses.

Apollo11- that is seriously the coolest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I wish I was related to someone so awesome. I just really like Akbar a lot because I had a history teacher who literally idolized him (for good reason) so he just kind of grew on me.

STHeart- Really?! I hated Andrew Jackson, like a lot. He seemed like such a dbag. There was an entire class period in APUSH in which I just freaked out about what a jerk he was. Hahaha.

Martin Luther King Jr, Lyndon B Johnson, Franklin D Roosevelt. Also Alexander Hamilton was a boss.

Why Hamilton?

I personally believe that James Madison, Harry Truman [Though some hate him] and Jimmy Carter get no love in the history textbooks, but they did a lot to advance the United States to the position that they are in now.

I have way too many, those were just a few…I also like Jefferson, a ton of various writers, etc, etc, etc, too many to list…

Jackson was a jerk, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t also a badass too.

YES APOLLO!!! I also agree about Truman and Carter. Yeah, Madison too, I guess, but I’ve never been a huge fan of the earlier presidents that much; not as much as other people. Jefferson is probably my favorite of the earlier ones…

James Madison is awesome yet never mentioned, Harry S. Truman is only talked about because of the Bomb. Jimmy Carter sorta deserved to get no love

John Quincy Adams, Harry Truman, and Lyndon Johnson.

Robert E Lee. Brilliant man, an epitome of goodness.

Presidents are overrated.

Otto von Bismarck was a boss.

I forgot Elizabeth I before :)

The amazingly awesome Ben Franklin!

“I wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paper. Then I look at the obituary page. If my name is not on it, I get up.”
“In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes.”
“Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days.”
“Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, and half shut afterwards.”

Also I agree about Robert E Lee- unfortunately the winners write the history books.

Charles Lindbergh (the aviator’s father)
Albert Einstein
Ronald Reagan
Mark Twain
Theodore Roosevelt (only his wife called him “Teddy”). ( ;

I agree Robert E Lee----BAWZ
