Yeah, Vassar mos def has style, that cannot be denied. I mean, the library is a CASTLE.

I love Vassar's viewbook. They didn't send it to me the first time I asked (filled up that form on the website), so I emailed them again asking for it.

when my d was accepted EDI in December, she got a big envelope with two pieces of papers and nothing else but she got the most important thing - the acceptance letter and a week later a great financial aid package.

But I have to say she's not received anything else since then which is kinda disappointing.

as long as my financial aid package if i get admitted is fabulous.... i will be SOOOO happy. i can't think of anyting more dissapointing than getting in and having to turn it down because i can't afford it. that would make me cry really hard lol.

I tell the story that my daughter got accepted to Vassar on a Monday but didn't know she was actually going until Friday when she got her finaid package. They were very generous

Yeah, same here, morangotango. I think I'd rather be rejected than be accepted and have to turn it down because I can't afford it.. but I guess all I can do right now is wait and see what happens.

can't... wait... any... longer... need... to... know.

So, I have a hilarious story for y'all. Today, I went to check the mailbox -- of course. There was a 8 1/2 x 11 envelope with my name on it. All I saw was my name, and I thought, "Oh, my, God... a BIG envelope!" I, then, preceded to run all the way home to my house from the mailbox (as if this sight was not comical enough, I happened to still be wearing my pj pants). I ran into my house practically panting with a mixture of anxiety and exhaustion. To my Mom and my sister I shouted, "I have a BIG envelope... a BIG envelope!!!" So, my sister and my Mom gather around me as I speedily open up my rather large and thick envelope. What did I find???

It was a letter from the IRS requesting some tax return information.

My God, what an incredible embrassment onto myself. Hmph. Decisions need to be released now, and if anyone finds out sooner than the expected date, please post here. Put me out of my misery. Please.

lol... I did something similar. I saw a big envelope, a big purple envelope, I thought potentially from Williams or Wesleyan (Is Wes Purple or REd???). I was excited. It wasn't even for me, but for my dad. Some stock thing. UGH

Do we know when Vassar is sending decisions? Has anyone officially confirmed the exact date?

they send them the 27th, right?

How does anyone know this? Has someone contact admissions? Are acceptances and rejections sent at the same time? thanks!

lol! aww! that's awful. gah. I get so anxious for the mail every day. I hate Sundays so much, too. It should be good to be able to relax, but it sucks to think that maybe my letters are just waiting somewhere.. I doubt it, yet. But still. ugh!!

Oh, and I think I remember reading that Wesleyan was purple?

No, Wesleyan is red and Williams is purple, I believe.

I'm a parent and I hate the non-mail days. But then when there is mail and nothing "good" comes, it's even worse!

kev07wan, I went to visit Vassar a couple of weeks ago, and one of the admission's officers told me that they are sending out the decisions on March 27.

that is like forever from now! not really it is only 2 days, but then the mail has to get to my house :(

They're sent by priority mail, correct? Are acceptances and rejections sent at the same time?

I live close enough to the school that I could get a letter on the 28th!! so close and yet sooooo far...

oh my god. I am such a doofus. It took me FOREVER to make the connection that the 27th = TUESDAY. omfg. So that means.. wednesday or thursday I could get a letter from Vassar? oh mannn.. ahh.. this week is going to be insane.

I know... This week is going to be insane. I don't know how I will be able to concentrate on anything other than decisions. Homework... psh! Seriously, the number of times that I have been on CC of late is evidence of my lack of ability to focus on any other occurrences in my life.
