Im soccer @ ucla!

^ woah jane, do you really do Tri?? thats awesome. I’m a distance runner+cyclist. Id probably drown in the pool though.

my best friend is on the tri team at ucla!

i do them now! hahahaha my first one is a baby one, they call it a “sprint” but i am not going to sprint at all. its in june so we shall see how it goes!

the swimming pool is my forte…i fear the running…but the bike seems fun…i need a good road bike though.

this is all new to me so i am not a pro but i really love that UCLA’s tri team encourages all levels and will help you out w/ ur goals.

I JUST got a road bike. :)

did you get fitted and stuff? i hear they charge more for that. i am a shortie (5’3 to 5’4) so i need the right size.

bball at UCLA anyone?

im down to play bball, flag football, dodgeball, and maybe even ultimate frisbee

hey jane, if you really want a decent road bike, you can always get one on craigslist. I got mine for 350 and the original price was over 1000! Then you can get the shoes and whatever at the store.

Im totally going to ask my friend if there is a jane on the tri team next year ahaha. that would be crazy if you guys met.

thnx for the tip!

oh yeah i’d have to purchase the clip on shoes…those are expensive…

I’m scared of those bikes/shoes. What if you fall over! YOU’RE STUCK to your bike?! D:

face of bleeding, scratched up, banged up, dread indeed D:

I love the wording…

“Face of bleeding.”

ha ha ha :D

i just got a road bike too. me and my friend go on 20 mile rides every week soo fun. we didnt buy expensive fancy ones tho, we bought oldies and fixed them up. i ride an 85 roadmaster…original retail was 934… i bought her for $50 fixed 'er up and put her back on the road

-Evan…k lemme make two corrections,
instead of Team Anthro/Tri we are Team TriAnthro, Team TriAnthro ftw!
and D’: bleeding, scratched up, banged up face of dread indeed…lol…

-AJ!!! omg we have so much in common, too bad you didn’t apply to UCLA </3
you’re a physics major right?

we could have been the Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan of our time :(

haha face of bleeding. My friends said that if you get clips, then you WILL fall at least once. I tried to prove them wrong…but failed…miserably…in the middle of an intersection. haha

That was when I was a little noob though. Ive done hella rides over 100 miles now

EVERYONE should play rugby when they transfer! seriously the most fun you will ever have!

Especially if you’re a guy going to cal, their rugby team kicks a ss

Shellbell, I’m not looking to die upon arrival. ha ha.

hahaha… you wont! I played rugby at St. Mary’s College and it was intense but a little scary though. I’m definitely not a small girl (I’m 5’11) but I’m on the thinner side…when we play like Stanford some of the girls on their team were like 6’2 and weighed 300 pounds haha. but it was definitely the MOST fun i’ve ever had playing a sport

jane: maybe ill see you around ucla, i will have 2 league games there per season, plus i may just join this tri thing… sounds amazing. ill be repping the old school bikes out there ;). yes i am a physics major, but prob going to change to engineering… more practical.

i want clips so bad! would be cool… im swapping out brake calipers tomorrow for some 27" tires… mine are 26 hybrids right now and they just arent doing the trick.

I’m 5’10", but I’m very slim. Sounds like certain death to me. But, I’ll check it out. ha ha.
