I know this is probably going to sound really really stupid for you guys but the thing is that I'm not too familiar with The American Educational System, really 'cause I'm an international student and we do things very different in my country.

So anyways my question is basically about sports you could play in College.

In my country students MUST to play sports (whether they want or not) I think they need to be part of at least 3 sport teams (these are count as credits by the way, but you don't have to pay for them), and the thing about that is that you don't have to be good at it at all. The coach of a team can't tell you that you can't be part of the team because you basically suck. you sing up for whatever sport he/she wants. They basically teach you how to play and have some pick up games and stuff. Obviously, doesn't mean you are part of the team that will compete in the National tournaments against other Universities, you know the ones have are on TV,

I guess you can look at it this way: there are 2 teams the A team is the varsity team that represents the team in National Competitions where as the B team is just everybody who likes the sport and want to play or learn how to play for fun/recreation.

Is there anything like this in College here in the States? 'cause I would like to play some sport (anything) but I'm not particularly good at anything to be part of the varsity team (especially since I'm going to transfer to a Division one School). nr Am I interesedted in being part of the NCAA team. I would just like to do some kind of physical activity (something like Ultimate frisbee or whatever)on campus like that, without having to be part of a varsity team or anything like that, just play some pick up games to stay in shape, meet people and have fun that's all? Do Universities in The States offer anything like this? or do only NCAA athletes get to play sports here?
