I'm from California and I would do anything to get out of California. I need to experience something different. Thank God for college. Who's with me?

Ditto with Tennessee. I guess I dont REFUSE to, I would just rather not, and so I did not apply anywhere in-state.

I refuse to go to a college in NJ. I need to get out and experience new things. haha.

I refuse to go to a SUNY

I refuse to go to school in my hometown (aka the University of Toledo or Bowling Green State University), but I’m not opposed to going to school in-state. Ohio State, is the only in-state school I’d go to, though.

I agree with mkt16a17… I REFUSE to go to a SUNY school.

Same, here. California is tiring. How bout a little variation in the weather

oh, you people have nothing on me. try mississippi. i didnt apply to any colleges in as large a radius as i possibly could.

i dont care about going to school in the same state as long as its ATLEAST an hour away. i would never even think about going to school in the same city.

As much as I love my hometown/province, I can’t wait to move out and live somewhere new for a change. I’m moving all the way across the continent next fall!

I moved from CT to LA and im dying to get back to the east coast.

I refuse to attend Arizona State University. It’s CROWDED (not just big, but CROWDED.)

Plus, it’s not exactly known for being an intellectually stimulating college, unless your idea of “intellectually stimulating” is getting drunk at 4 a.m. off of Smirnoff and homemade beer.

I would prefer to go to a college that was out of state. While I love CA, I’d prefer to go to a college somewhere else to experience something new.

The closest school I applied to is about 140 miles away from where I live.

You people in Cali can always go to Cal or UC (or LAC or Stanford). There is no where to go in Arkansas, University of Arkansas is not an option. If it was even as good as University of Indiana or Georgia or Connecticut, I would go in a heartbeat.

Lets see if you can find Arkansas on this list
[USNews.com: America’s Best Colleges 2008: National Universities: Top Schools](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/t1natudoc_brief.php)

I applied to my flagship university (University of Nebraska at Lincoln) as a financial safety, but the next closest school that I applied to is over 450 miles away from my home city. I applied to schools in the South, North, Northeast, and West, and none that I would really consider the “Midwest”.

The only school in my city is Kennesaw State University. Ha.

I refuse to go to any school in Virginia. I know their good colleges and yada yada but their so boring and I can’t wait to get out of the suburbs.

Because my father drives a semi-truck for a living, I needed a school on the opposite coast.

That’s interesting…
