Who said the Pac-10 is a weak conference?

I hope Tedford watched 'SC in the first quarter -- wonderful play calling that gave Booty plenty of time and space to complete FIRST down passes, which subsequently setup their running game.....

You guys are sad about Cal...check out Oregon..EVERY year we start out pretty strong and in the end we always end up in the bottom of the trash can :(

And one way or another, this way or that, like it or not, rain or shine, USC ALWAYS ends up getting the last laugh.

that is soooooooooooooooooo true GOD!

any picks for this wknd lol? who'd of thought Cal would end up fighting for a bowl berth, and UCLA would be playing for the rose bowl? crazy year indeed.

Cal will win, probably by two touchdowns. USC will rout UCLA, ASU should eke out a victory against Arizona.

I agree, Cal should cream Stanford, esp after their hell week in practice.

did you see picks from the yahoo sports "experts". only one of the four picked oregon state over oregon. most yahoo users did the same. did they not know how oregon has no offense without dixon? or did they really think pac10 is so weak that the 4th team in the conference just can't beat oregon??

^ Is the game at Autzen? Then, maybe I would give Oregon a slight edge.

Oregon State is good...Yvenson Bernard is a beast. I'm still bitter over that loss.

Damn right they should've had two weeks of practice hell! Cal better go out and play their hardest.

I'm still anxiously awaiting Judge Miller's decision on Memorial Stadium renovation. I e-mailed media relations, and they said she can take till Jan. 9th to make her decision. Let's get the place renovated!! GO BEARS!!

One thing good about USC's prospect of playing in the Rose Bowl next year, is that it would force a rescheduling of the Cal/USC game. It's currently scheduled for Nov. 8, 2008, but UCLA/Oregon State also have a home game scheduled. So, the Cal/USC game would likely be moved to September 20th, since both Cal and USC currently have a bye that week.

This is good news for Cal, since Pete Carroll is "Mr. November"...haha.

I just noticed, we're scheduled to play Ohio State in 2012/3!

UCB: that would be cool, but Cal would have to force its newcomers to mature at an alarming rate, considering usc is normally deeper from start to finish. hopefully osu can cool down by then lol.

UCBChemE, where are you getting our schedule? Could you please post the link. Thanks.

'SC ain't going nowhere. They're just using the RB as a bargaining chip with the Coliseum, who is managed by incompetent public officials.

Cal has future schedules for 2008 - 2010 on CalBears.com:

An additional game is needed for both 2009 and '10.

Ohio State is the only OOC team scheduled for 2012/13:

tOSU is going to see a lot of USC, if U$C beats UGLY on Saturday.

Projected tOSU vs. USC in Rose Bowl
and,
USC/tOSU have a home-home series starting in 2008.

It's gonna be a boring Rose Bowl matchup. Who the hell wants to see USC at the Rose again?!

ucb,

i think usc is going to rose bowl regardless if the win will be ugly or pretty. i think it's ohio state that has a shot at the NC (if missouri loses to oklahoma). usc is just way too far back, thanks to its loss to stanford (how did that happen again??).

Sam, oh sure, USC wins they go to the RB. You're right 'SC is too far back in the standings for NCG.

I meant UCLA = UGLY (just using what the Trojans call UCLA).

Gotta give credit to Pete Carroll and the Condoms, they get their shi t together during crunchtime.

lol @ ucla = ugly. so based on your projection, you think missouri will beat oklahoma?
