<p>coffee, you can always go to UCF and then transfer to UF. It is still possible to come here. If you really want to be in Gainesville, you can go the Santa Fe Community College and then transfer. The point is, you can still get your degree from UF if you want to.</p>

I WANTED TO TRANSFER TO UF NEXT YR. BUT I BELieve WOULD NEED A 1400. hmm......i dont mind doing that however, i doubt ill be getting a 1400 so i rather go to another state school.</p>
<p>Also, a lot more people are going to apply to uf now that they are going for the championship. Because everyone wants to go ther for sports.

everyone is telling me everything happens for a reason..maybe i was destined to be theere..and instead at fsu or possibly and out of state school.
im just sad that i placed all my eggs in one basket.

<p>Don't worry everyone who was deferred/rejected. I was rejected UF ED last year with a 4.0, 1230 and lotsa APs and honors. I saw lots of people get in with wayyy lower gpas and sat scores than me and I understand all of your frustrations. When I found out I was rejected I was just as upset as all of you, and I the first thing I thought was all this work just to go to UCF?! But honestly UF compared to most schools is not that special. Instead of going to UCF or FSU I suggest applying to out of state schools. I got to University of Wisconsin Madison now and I love it, (same sports feel as UF) and I also believe its ranked much higher. Even if out of state seems too expensive apply anyway, there are alot of scholarships and loans you can take out. Honestly guys you're all good students and if you got rejected or deferred from UF dont apply down, just shove it in their face and go to a better school.</p>

<p>REMEMBER: That means that they are treating your application with new consideration. In other words, ADD TO IT! go go go. add what you've done senior year, grades, etc</p>
<p>Out of like 10 applicants, only one got rejected, and one got deferred at my school. I'm really not sure how we had such a high acceptance rate with not so great applicants, at least compared to who got deferred. The one person who got deferred only had slightly lower grades but was a URM, so I'm not sure what happened there. UF I guess has taken the liberty to have weird and confusing admissions process to be more like the Ivies.</p>
<p>Coffeecrazy I am in the EXACT same boat as you. I also feel like kids just go there to be a 'gator' they could give a rats ass about the education. I would not give up, try and appeal, I'm doing it. I agree though UF has a funky ass admission process. Don't give up. DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>

<p>Im actually the opposite. I actually hate the fact that im a "gator". Don't get me wrong, im into the football team and ill be at the games, but I wish the university was known for something. I was the symbol of the school was something more prestigeous and honorable and not an alligator :/ </p>
<p>But hey, you get what you can. I'm not there to be a gator (though ill be one) im there for the education</p>
<p>Ruo, UF does have really good acedemic programs. Its not IVY league but they have an awesome business school, vet, and medical school and the school is only improving each year. I have been a gator fan for life and when I was younger all I knew was the football team. </p>
<p>It was only as a freshman that I figured I better actualy get to know the college and it has just happened to luck out that everytime I have changed what I have wanted to do that they have my major. They are the only school in the country where I can get my ph.d in educational research. And the school of education is really good as well, one of the top in the country.</p>
<p>Dont be too, worried most pple who were deffered are going to accepted. I applied RD 1 and was deffered and then accepted RD 2 but I chose to go to u of michigan because well, because its michigan. All I did was send in new transcripts and sat scores.</p>
