ahh still no decision. Does me being on the east coast have anything to do wit this?

They might be updating the decisions alphabetically or something arbitrary like that.

Yeah I'm RD as well. I think it's awful of Rice not to even send an email or anything - I just got lucky by checking. WashU did the same thing to me...don't know about other people.

I didn't get an email either.

::EDIT:: Okay, I JUST got an email.

Priority waitlist. Joy.

I've realized from all these college decisions I fail at life and need to be an URM. XP

ugh. middle class always gets screwed over.

Tell me about it.

last year, the first wave was acceptance, second was waitlisted, and third was rejection

^^I wouldn't be so quick to wish yourself something that you're not. I'm a URM and was rejected. No matter, I still have plenty of other great places to choose from. Congrats to those who were accepted and congrats to those rejected; I'm sure you'll be happy where ever you may end up...it's certainly not the end of the world! :)

Also, I'm a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason."

i think the waves were about an hour a part

congrats to the ones who got in!!

i have a blank screen too for FA

They probably haven't uploaded the letter yet.

I have a blank one as well.

Sounds like a lot of you have a blank FA letter. A relief.

I was excited about this place. Now they tell me even if I get accepted from the waitlist, I'm ineligible for merit money.

Did a little math and the acceptance rate is 7.6% (850 spots out of 11150 apps).

Acceptance rate was probably higher since Rice hands out over 850 spots for sure. They have an idea of how many will accept with some room for error with a waitlist. Definitely still an impressive feat as applications were way up this year.

I got an e-mail saying I've been accepted!!!!!

Lol realized how wrong I was a minute after posting that... I think I'm subconsciously trying to make myself feel better.

Acceptance rate is like 15-20% since Rice probably accepts like 2200 people during RD ( i think they did last year)

Waitlisted... -_-

I have gotten no email...but my status is accepted. Guess they're a little slow on some emails haha

My page says that I'll get $10,400 for each of my first two semesters from the trustee scholarship. Can this be renewed for the same amount for all four years and if so how hard is it to achieve that?

I got accpeted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
