I Should have 1 great rec, and 1 good one.
Good essays, but who really knows...
Further Suggestions also appreciated, I want schools strong in all areas, but with very strong reputation/undergrad research in Physics

your hard stats sat's are...intimidating...your hs and college gpa are definantly in the ballpark for the schools that you listed

that being said, the one flaw in your app. is that your ec's don't reflect a burning desire for physics...anything vaguely science related can't be found in your app

regardless, you will be a very competitive applicant to all the schools that you listed

gl

Carleton is also in the top ten of undergrad future physics PhD producers.

Extracurriculars may be my biggest problem. There isn't even a society for physics students located at my college. I participated in some stuff in high school, but nothing special. Didn't really think of myself as a science guy until this year...

LACs like Swarthmore and Reed typically have very few slots for transfers, but you have a good chance of acceptance at one or more of the universities. You could add WUSTL if you want to add another top uni that is relatively transfer-friendly.

I'd be surprised if you didn't get into at least 2 or 3 of those schools. Your stats are obviously top-notch and you're already coming from a good school.

As someone applying to many of the same schools (also as a physics major)... I think you have a fantastic shot. Have you applied to these schools before?

I've only applied to Reed before. Didn't know I wanted to major in physics, and applied to small liberal arts. Message me if you want to talk about the process Duper, I'd like to hear from the competition =P
