Whoo hoo! Three days!

They would never specifically select students that did not get into UCLA

that is true, the admission officers from both la and berkeley will clearly tell you that essentially you can get into ALL the UCs if you apply and are qualified for admission so don't think that UCLA rejects have a "better" chance. Everyone has an equal chance it's just what theyre looking for.

Whatever makes you sleep at night works.

We honestly don't know what Cal and LA do, they honestly have the strangest acceptance standards ever.

Not that UCLA rejects have a better chance. I'm thinking more like there are two students are equally qualified for an admission spot--similar test scores, grades, ecs, etc--but they can't afford to admit both. One student is in UCLA and the other was rejected. The one rejected may have a better chance at getting the UCB spot.

But, I'm thinking that there would be more than two similar equally qualified. There should be a whole group of students who are equally qualified for admission with limited spots. If they need a deciding factor, it could be based on acceptance status for UCLA.

EDIT: @fiesta of fire: Yeah, this thinking does help my nerves. xD

Let's just wait and watch?
=)

g g

WHO'S EXCITED?!?!

I know I am =]

killthefifi, me too! Even though I kind of doubt I'll get in. But optimism is great! :)

stop being so optimistic

I'm going to vom on Thursday, fer sure.

I've had my dreams crushed twice already with rejections (stanfurd & caltech)
but I just can't help but be optimistic :]

My body can't handle a week of stress, so I think something in my brain has popped and now I feel kinda nonchalant about it at this moment. But I'm sure I'll get high-strung once again tomorrow or so.

this is by far the most stressed i've been all year
2 days!
O_O WAAAAAAAAAAH

lol yeah, it was worse than when i was looking for a prom date.

but honestly, i feel so better not panicking. you'll calm down, just let it out for a short while.

you're right
but it doesn't help having a sister that's a transfer applying at the same time who can do nothing BUT freak out 24/7
lulz, hoping for the best i guess D;

OHGODPLEASEPLEASSSSSSSSSSE

this is very stressful yes, but it cannot compare to the high stress level of doing college applications. i'd pick watching some How I Met Your Mother/stressing over writing essays/stressing any day.

i dunno. college apps and essays never scared me, because it was so long before they sent out admission letters.

now, we're literally at the doorstep. it's kinda horrible knowing that the next day you'll either be let down or have the time of your life.

Himym !!

The essays were stress free for me

Thursday needs to come faster! Ever since I submitted my UC application, worrying about decisions has been a huge distraction... I want a clearer idea of what's in store for my future.
